Ok, here's my wierd idea: I'd like to get a kind of curvy line thing winding all down my body, but different on both sides, sortof highlighting errogenous zones or cool little landmarks like moles and scars. It would be very flow-y and delicate.

I've never seen anything like this? Is it just stupid? Or does it sound cool?

Don't know about cool... ... It sounds hot!!! I got three in one ear and one in the other and a nipple! Just the nipple stays in though, work would just freak over the ears!!! Keep thinking about a tattoo though! just a pattern over my right shoulder extending down my arm! DOES IT HURT???

I think it would be totally hot! Especially since, ideally, there'd only be one person who'd ever get to see the whole thing! (well, other than the artist, I hope)

It's actually hers. I inked up her paw with a stamp pad and got her to walk on a sheet of paper. It was messy, and it took a few tries to get a relatively clean image. Then I took it and cleaned it up a bit (made the lines cleaner, filled it in, etc. But, yeah, it's her print.

I think this is a very cool idea. Question though- Is it a generic paw print, or actually hers? If so, how did you get it?

run4yrlif - 2005-10-06 9:28 AM I have:

  • My dog, Stimpy's paw print on my left calf. Got it when she was getting older so I'd always have something to remind me of her. She died last year, and I'm so glad I got it.

I have several tattoos - mostly on my knees, elbows, shoulders and a few on my back. Not very artistic, mostly blotches of color mis-matched skin... compliments of all those wonderful, high speed crashes from my pure-cycling days.

I have one on the top of my left foot...it's a frog. I wanted one on the bottom of my foot as well, but I got turned down by 5 or 6 shops...they claim it will rub and not look good and they don't want their art to look bad...makes sense I guess.

I have a rook and an anti-tragus piercing in my right ear, and both of my lobes are stretched to 6 gauge, with the intention of stretching to 4 gauge soon.

No tattoos just yet, but I know exactly what I want. I want to get the outline of the state of PA, with the state crest on the inside and the motto (Virtue, Liberty, and Independence) somehow involved. I was thinking about my shoulder or lower back for it...but it's going to be a while.

Oh! and of course, someday an M-dot tattoo.

i always say not really because i never had any real problems even in the inside of my bicep and up into my armpit. maybe i have a high tolerance for pain? it's not entirely comfortable, but for me it's not entirely apinful, more theraputic if anything.

I don't mind it at all. Heck...I think everyone should do it. One caveat...I gat asked all the time if I went to Clemson. I actually don't mind though, cause I get to tell the story. And if you're single...it's a great way to meet girls. They eat it up...

But I'm not single, so I don't know anything about that. I'm just sayin'

Have any of you seen the documentary about a guy into body modification who arranged to have himself shot in the shoulder by what I remember to be a .44 or .45 calibre handgun?

The ambulance was waiting outside. I'm not sure what this guy's HMO had to say about it.

Didn't see that. But it reminds my of this thread on a bodmod usenet newsgroup a few years ago called something like "Unintentional Body Modifications." Scars, for one. For instance, just below my right index fingernail, I have a broken off pencil lead under the skin that is visible. Looks like a hazy little black dot. I kind of like it.

You beat me! I was thinking about this subject the other day...
I must confess: I do not have a tatoo but I am hooked on the TV show Miami Ink on TLC.
My problem with tatoos and piecings:
1.- I change my mind all the time, cannot commit on something permanent as a tatto.
2.- They may seem a good idea when you are young but as you get older, it may not be such a great idea. E.g. I am not sure I would want my grandchildren -If I ever have them- to comment "Guess where my grandma has a tatoo"...
3.- I had 5 piercings in my earlobes when I was a teenager... I couldn't keep up with the jewlery. I have only 3 now but rarely use the third.
4.- I am one of those "matching" people. Yeah, my bras and panties MUST match! LOL. I like symetrical things and a asymetrical or unmatched tatoo would drive me insane!
5.- I may be going trough a midlife life crisis lately (a good one). I am thinking that if I ever do an Ironman, I would get the logo tatoo, a tiny one. Not sure where.

    Mary,

    1. Go with an image that resonates with you... then bite the bullet/pull the trigger. The orchid is my favorite flower and the symbolic imagery is uhhh very female. My choice was very deliberate.
    2. I got mine when I was 38 years old; have no regrets. When I told my mother I got it, showed it to her, she said "Just don't tell the kids because then they will want one." Not 30 seconds later my nephew walked in the room and said "Nonna, did you know Zia (me) has a tattoo?" Oops! Too late, Mom!
    3. Skip
    4. I'm with you on the matching. Trust me, a strategically placed tattoo will make the most mundane lingerie look sexy. Suddenly white bra/panties look exotic against your tatt.

I think that sounds extremely cool, Hot and especially sensual.  The idea of a "road map" to the erogenous zones is such a turn on.

I don't currently have any Tats or pericings, but do find some tats to be real turn ons.  I, like many have said, have been thinking about the Mdot once I have earned it, but that will be a few years.
