Cool team.  I invited an Aussie (kaqphin) to come over and play.  With the captain's permission of course.  She may have to come up with a new avatar like Chris.  I'm going for a lofty goal of 20km. Gotta work off the fruit cake somehow.

Thanks Elly. For those of you undecided I could also learn the National Anthem and wear a mountie hat!

The national anthem? You mean that techno song they play at the Maple Leafs Games?

who-oa-oa-oa-o-oh-oh whoa-oa-a-oa-oh-oa--oh-oh

well I can't do it over text, but you know

Question: can we increase our totals after say week 1/2 if we underestimated? I can't estimate my training with two weeks of exams. It could be +/- 10k those weeks. And depending on whether I'm fit enough to train with the club, my christmas training could be anywhere from 30-60km

Ok, I've got lots of excuses why it's not more but I'll spare you all the whining and just commit to 10,000 meters (10 km). That should be a bit of a stretch for me for this coming month.

Go Team Canada!!!

If you peek into the top thread (rules & regulations), you'll see all the stuff you need to know about keeping your logs up to date, reporting weekly, etc.

This is getting to be a big team.
There is only 8 more days until I have to email Renee the final roster and goals!
I am sure there are a few more Canucks out there that want to get swimming again.
Just think of the Eggnog and Chocolate you can eat while your swimming!

Ok, count me in for 25000 yards. It's a tough goal for me but I guess that's the point. Might force me to miss out on a few too many x-mas parties followed by the dreaded hang-over.

One problem though, I still have not been able to load an avatar on this site. I tried numerous times but it just doesnt work.
Am I doing it right? You need to go through the control panel right?

Do I just go to control panel and then upload profile image? If so, it's not working for me.

Re the avator's - I believe there is a size limitation on the picture you can load. Something around 50 kb.

yep 50 kb.

From the help section :
How do I or why can't I upload a profile picture?
First go to your 'Control Panel.' At the bottom there will be a place to upload your profile picture (associated with threads and blog). MAX size is 50kb in gif and jpeg format. Same with your personal picture.

ok, I need motivation to hop in the pool tomorrow. I need to get my workouts up to 2 hours! All I have tomorrow is class from 9-1, workout is from 3-5, and I have to apply to three jobs whose resumes aren't made yet. Wish me luck.
