Your merit, for the purposes of the Olympics, lies in your skating and not in your Oscar Wilde affectations. To NBC: More sports, less talk/yakking/stupidity. I thought it was funny how the other night after he skated well (the short program?), he was asked how he felt and you could see that he was excited to be in the lead and said something like, "Yea I am happy to be in the lead and... hopefully win a gold for my country." Then he comes out with, "Subconciously of course." Gimme a break. |

Dunno about the creme pies, but when I was in undergrad I had a friend who was fairly obsessed with the idea of sticking it to a lasagna. I kept warning him that bubbling cheese on the doo-da would not be the ecstatic feeling he sought, but he was young and hormonal. And please note, I wasn't condemning his choice of partner/paraphenalia, just concerned about the health risks. I say that to many of my friends for various reasons and dating choices--more based on the person/personality in question than the gender of said individual. He came back to school next semester. |
