I had some that, instead of the snap, had a big white rope, ala the "soap on a rope" style.

 

Luckily, all evidence has been destroyed.

The part that absolutely kills me is how the heck did I go this long without knowing any of this.  I've never even heard the term jorts before today.

Now I'm afraid to know what else I'm doing that everyone else laughs at.  <shudders>

I did at least stop wearing my braided brown leather belt a long time ago.  lol

At what age do you suddenly stop realizing what's fashionable?  I only ask because I fear it must be coming up soon.  Jorts though, seriously?  My grandpa even knows those went out with the 90s.

Let me see if I have this correct: We spend untold amount of time and money wearing spandex to train for a race that we again wear spandex in getting hot sweaty and looking like death warmed over and we are conderned about wearing denim shorts at other times?

Does that about sum it up?

ETA: BTW way I am 51 years old and when I am not a work I wear what ever I feel like including denim shorts.
