I actually downloaded the song and a few episodes on my phone so when we're out somewhere we can show off his dance moves. My wife and I watched the show before he was around too, great show. |

The key theme of Bueller is blowing off school for "catching life", while Phineas and Ferb are all about filling up there limited summertime with as much life as possible. Not a subtle difference. You get the impression that P&F do well in school and relate well with the adult world while maximizing their youthful fun. Bueller, on the other hand, is one skipped day away from failing his senior year, dodges his parents authority, treats all adults as though they are morons, causes the wreck of a friend's dad's vintage car and gets the other guy to accept the fall as some sort of character building exercise........ughhhh. All this while having only the con mans skills of getting other people to do stuff for him.
P&F are talented and work hard. Beuller is an underachieving schmoe. Your opinion. I think they are both brilliant in their own right and love them both. |

I would have to agree^^^^ I have banned sponge bob and all things sponge bob from the house. While P&F are palatable, Jimmy Neutron is the shiznit. That one I'll catch myself watching on my own. Good point - I don't compare it with Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Sopranos, etc.... For a kids' show, it's quick, clever, and doesn't assume the audience is brain dead. From my small sampling of other programming, I can't say that about many other youth-targeted shows. (Then again, sampling TV aimed at "adults" there is the same problem.) |

Spongebob is banned in our house too. To many things that Spongebob says that are supposed to go over their heads for the adults come out of their mouths. Therefore, banned.
