Brian sorry to hear about the crash and gald to hear that you are alright. Also glad to hear that you didn't have any damage to your bike either. I know the feeling I totally wiped out in a race in the rain last weekend, mainly road rash and a very swollen and bruised hip certainly not as serious as what you went through. Rest up and feel better soon.

vbellino - 2012-08-24 8:10 PMHoly sh*t Brian! That looks super painful but I'm glad it's not worse. I was looking forward to getting out for a ride with you soon. It will happen eventually! Hang in there and get some rest.
Thanks Vince. I'll be back on the bike as soon as possible. I have Diamondman in 2 weeks, hopefully.

bradleyd3 - 2012-08-24 5:14 PM Normally people use their brakes to stop and not their face. Glad you're okay....and it wasn't a ton worse.

or atleast their hands heh. A few years ago my sister crashed her bike and we joked that she should use the brakes instead of her chin.

Holy cow! I'm so glad to hear you are ok after all that.

You have a great attitude about it all, to be planning another event in two weeks after a pretty major crash.

Ive looked worse after a few bar fights. Glad you are ok. Let's be careful out there. BTW, how fast were you going? Flat terrain at 20 mph or down a hill at 40? Just curious.

Man Brian... soooo sorry about that. I can't stand it when Gremlins put sticks in my spokes. I hope you catch him. Scrapes and cuts heal, the arm is a bummer. Hopefully it does not keep you down long.

But seriously... the bike is OK right???

Dude lying here unable to sleep it sure feels like a real crash! But yeah, crashing on the MUP is pretty lame.

Eh...you know I'm just messing......I'm glad it's you and not me...but I'm not delusional, mine's coming too.  I've had a few, but managed to spare my noggin.  That just looks like it hurts. Laughing

I know you're joking. Believe it or not my face doesn't really hurt. What hurts is boths arms from the elbow to the tips of my fingers. I need to see an ortho about that, the pain is pretty severe and the tips of my fingers are tingly. The Percocet works well for about 4 hours, but I'm only supposed to take it every 6. You are welcome to laugh, every time I look in the mirror I do. And the kids have been enormously helpful but merciless. My biggest fear is what happens when my mom sees me, she was already yelling at me over the phone while I was in the ER.

Hey Brian, I think we have the same mother lol!

I hope you heal soon and can do that race but you had a pretty good crash, head and all and your poor arms are killing you. We are a tough lot so sometimes you need someone to tell you to just chill, so guess I'm just trying to be the voice of reason. I think my mom is invading my brain, better go now!
