They have moral character and stand for Welcome to BT. This is definitely one of the best forums for triathlon questions (stupid and otherwise) and for general banter. Now that I've been nice, I can be mean... Brian Kelley kinda has a fishy record of moral character to this point. Told everyone at Central Michigan he was sticking around and packed up and left in the middle of the night. Then did the same at Cincy. I don't think any team in CFB is free of the "win at all costs" mentality. There are always skeletons in the closet. Just ask JoePa. |

What were those games again? Louisville hosted Kentucky Rutgers at Arkansas Syracuse at Mizzou Louisville/Florida Pitt/Ole Miss (this weekend) I'll save you the effort. Aside from Florida, this is not the cream of the SEC crop. But then again, the SEC's elite decided to fill their out of conference schedule with cream puffs, the Sun Belt, and FCS schools. So in head to head matchups, the ACC whooped the SEC this year. Everyone schedules cream-puffs. I'm not seeing too many games in any of those Big East schedules that look like those teams going out to challenge anyone. Saying the SEC < Big East is ludicrous. Don't go hating' the truth. Besides, those are all ACC teams now. Except for Rutgersjoining the B1G ( worst.conference.name.ever) |

It's just a game. I am not a participant in this game and therefore I have no influence in the outcome and therefore will not let the outcome of game influence the type of day I am having. I will enjoy the game for what it is. An athlete contest. I won't lose any sleep over the outcome. It's just a sporting event and one that makes absolutely no difference in the world. It's a zero sum contest at best. /Heretic |

Just kidding. SCAR/Clemson is a required rivalry. I think the SC Legislature even passed a law requiring that game... You can't count playing an out of conference rival as a sign that you picked a great out of conference opponent. But Clemson did play Auburn when everyone thought they'd do something and GA next year so props to them. /hijack-over. |

We couldn't get the tusks out so we went to Alabama where the Tusks a loosa. I wouldn't take the moral high road about your ND football team with BK at the helm, as noted above. As for graduation rates, they are tops, and congrats to them. As a University of Alabama Alumni, I'm proud of what Saban has accomplished, both on the field and off. Alabama is in the top 10 for graduation rates, and has likely increased that since Saban has arrived. He has built a program to be proud, which is a far cry from where we were 10-12 years ago. As for the Catholics vs. Cousins.... Have you met my Cousin?

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I'm pulling for Alabama. As an alumni, I'm not pulling against them. Sorry, but as far as I can remember, ND hasn't had a consistent hayday and this is just one of those times where the "luck of the irish" is still there. It's one thing to play bama when you have an extra week to prepare. It's another when Saban has a month to scheme about how to beat you. There's a reason he's paid $5mill and hated by everyone. |

I could care less what he told the media in December of 2006, which is all we are privy to as fans. By all accounts, every coach in the nation would be worthless by this standard, including the ole coach at Notre Dame.

I don't think every coach in the nation is an outright liar. There are way to spin things and then there are simply lies. |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I don't understand why everyone in Bama Bama Bama. They are a great program but come on. Their requirements for students getting into that school are pretty low. I am a huge Notre Dame fan and will be for life. I am also not saying their players are dumb but, half of them probably couldn't meet the requirements to play at ND. Out of the 17000 students who apply to Notre Dame as first year students only 1985 get in. 3.70 average GPA. I mean come on. Give Brian Kelly credit for reviving the program. Alabama gets a lot of the top crop because simply Notre Dame won't except them. When it is all said and done I think it will be a hard game for both teams. Notre Dame defense wins this one though. Fight on Irish!!! |

This isn't about academics. Because if it was, ND would be 17th... |
