I'd be okay with that. Then we'd have the 32nd pick + other teams 1st to trade up and get Clowney. I didn't realize Seattle and San Francisco had swapped first round picks next year.
1-1 with a combined score of 48-26 last year. 49ers lost a lot of talent this offseason. Seattle lost no one and gained some excellent talent. Enjoy your 1st rd wildcard game next year. Seattle fans seem to worry more about how they play against the 49ers than how their teams actually does during the season. While playing us is your Superbowl, we actually go to the Superbowl. As for the blowout win, yes, Wilson looked great that day. I'm sure that had nothing to do with with the highly emotional and exhausting 90 some odd play game we had played the previous night against the Pats. I'm also sure that the long game didn't affect New England when they had to gut one out against the powerhouse Jags that same week. |

You guys have a much more favorable schedule this year, but I still think we are going to win the NFC west and secure that 1st round bye. I'm really hoping for a SF/Sea NFC Championship. |

Yeah Dallas was tired in all eight losses last year -- that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. |

But if their pick yesterday is any indication, they've been sleeping all offseason so they should be good and rested for game 1. |

Veteran 458 Minnesota | Subject: RE: 2013 NFL Draft - Who Ya Got? When you make 3 picks in the first round you expect to be a draft winner on day 1. Minnesota got a steal by getting Floyd at 23. He was expected to go as high as 3 and viewed by many as a top 10 pick. At only 20 he has still a lot of potential and should do well playing along side K Williams, Allen, Robison, and Griffen. Xavier Rhodes was also a great value pick at 25. Most view him as a top 3 CB and a first year starter. His size and speed will be helpful in a NFCN division with guys like Calvin, Marshall, and Nelson. Corradelle Patterson is a risk-reward type pick. I felt like we gave up a little much to get him in a WR deep draft. He is raw but has some elite skills. He has some of the return and YAC skills of Harvin with the potential to develop into more of a number 1 WR. Spielman nalied the draft last year in his first year as GM and looks to be rolling the same this year. The team still has 5 picks in rounds 4-7 and will need to get a MLB and a few depth positions. A trade up into round 3 or 4 is a possiblity. |

I'm actually a Bears fan, so a wildcard is about the best I could hope for this year. At least with Lovie and Angelo gone, I can start to get optimistic about the future. Too bad they're saddled with that princess Cutler for awhile longer. I don't think the Niners lost anything unreplaceable, and John Harbough gave his brother an absolute gift trading Boldin for a sixth round pick. Plus, you're relying on a qb who can't see over the top of his offensive line. Hopefully Seattle and S.F. can live up to the hype. I can't stand being surrounded by Rams fans. The fact that they went 4-1-1 in the NFC West last year should bring shame to the entire division. |

The fact that they went 4-1-1 in the NFC West last year should bring shame to the entire division. The 49ers lost Dashon Goldson, Delanie Walker, and a couple of defensive lineman. It's not like they lost Kaepernick, but still they lost some guys who saw significant playing time. The Seahawks lost two defensive lineman, one who was injured most of the season and another who was a starter. They replaced those two guys with the two best young pass rushers in FA. They also upgraded the WR corps immensely with Harvin and filled another problem area from last year at nickel corner with Antoine Winfield who is the #1 nickel corner in the league last year. Anything short of 13-3 will be a disappointing season. St. Louis will be even better this year. I don't really think Bradford is the answer at QB though, but now it's put up or shut up time for him. |

The knee-jerk reactions of Thursday night included folks spouting off that the Pats fleeced the Vikes. I disagree. Patterson is the type of talent that we couldn't have grabbed in the 2nd round. He'd have been snapped up quickly. Spielman rocked it. I am very excited. btw, Sharif Floyd was projected by some to be a top 5 pick. Unreal. |

I wasn't going to say something before, but the last time we heard bravado like Josh's was when Powerman was forecasting his Donkeys to blow-out everyone on their way to and in the Super Bowl. They lost the next game. Just sayin. |

I wouldn't mind seeing Phillip Thomas later today, followed by Lattimore with our late 3rd round pick or early tomorrow. |

I was at my nieces birthday party so I was huddled over the phone. I did say in my first post though, I'd like Michael if he fell to us and we traded down and still got him. Not bad. I'm not sure what to think of the Hill pick, but I trust the FO, they know what they're doing. I'd like to see us trade up and grab Khaseem Greene tomorrow. We still have 10 picks left and he's falling pretty far. Other guys I'd like: Jessie Williams, Quinton Patton, Shamarko Thomas, John Simon. |
