Trying to see, or change, someone in a way they are not, in order to make it work.

Unfortunately, some never learn!

Left Brain - 2013-05-02 10:01 AM Sunglasses................nevermind, I don't want to talk about it.

Ditto. If spare parts from broken pairs of sunglasses were valuable, I'd be retired.

Humm... I have only wore expensive sunglasses my whole life... they usually last me 6-7 years and then I get tired of them. Revo used to have a killer warranty. When they finally broke, they would be discontinued, so I would pay $50 for a new pair. I did that about 3 times. They no longer do that.

I have electric hedge clippers and I sever an extension cord nearly every time I use them.

Same here.  I started buying the cheapest 10' cord I can find and then attaching that to my longer, nice cord.  That way I am only out the cost of the cheap cord when I trim the hedges.

This happily married man has traumatic flashbacks whenever he sees his single buddies date psycho-chicks, especially when they ignore that signs that say, "Run and change your number!"

I watched a kid pee on an electric fence once - I'm sure he never did that again.

Working on my bike, car, or whatever else is greasy or dirty without changing clothes first. For some reason, I always think I can do something quick without getting grease on my good clothes. In reality, I'm always out there way longer than I expected, doing way more than I planned, and ruining my clothes.

When I was much younger and dumber - I once stepped out of a car moving at 20 mph to prove to my friend that I couldn't run that fast.

I actually learned that lesson the first time.

Newly single and not use to pumping my own gas (WHILE TALKING ON THE PHONE).......

Filled-up my infiniti up with E-85 to only have the car towed, the fuel disposed of (no one has need for 1/4- uleaded 93 and 3/4 E-85 mixture) and a new fuel injector $1275.

I thought I got a great deal on the gas prices that day, and dawned on me as I closed up the tank what I had done.

It will not happen again!

Yeah, I have the similar problem when I cook bacon.  "Nah, I don't need to put (more) clothes on.  I won't get bacon splattered on my bare skin today."

I may be up to double digits on that stupid lesson.

Along those same lines... putting something where I'm sure to find it later... yeah, right.

I think I DID learn that (and the roof thing).  Took a few shots.

Whenever I put something down in a less than obvious spot and tell myself "don't forget" or "I won't forget", I do a double check and pick them up and put them in their RIGHT spot.  Because I WILL forget, tear apart the house for days resorting to the backup set of keys, to see the originals a week later on the table saw in the garage where "I would not forget".  I would say OH, now I remember putting them there.  I even remember telling myself I wouldn't FORGET I put them there.

Yep, for me it's painting. I start painting something in my favorite jeans and think I won't get paint all over myself but I ALWAYS do.

Yeah, I need to confess something.  Wasn't the E-85.  I put sugar in your tank...
