Subject: RE: 50 Miles of Swimming by MAY 1I *still* haven't started for a couple of reasons. Looks like I am going to postpone until Feb 1. I *still* plan on getting this done, though, I'll just have to ramp up the yards or the frequency a little quicker than first expected.
That would give me essentially 12 weeks to do it. If I swim 3x per week, that averages out to 2444.4 yards per workout. I just need to bring the sets back up to 3K within the first couple weeks and I'll blow this out, especially considering I'll probably swim 4x a lot of weeks once I get into it.
I'm still dreading that first trip back to the pool though. Having done it all my life, I know myself and how I react to it. I get changed up, and I go sit right on the edge of the pool and have to spend 10 minutes convincing myself to get in.  |
