Hot damn!!  I'll ride them anytime!! ;-P

No, I'm an architect that used to be a mechanic/salesmen in a few different bike shops so I still basically get everything at cost (except the Felt ... my old shop doesn't carry them so I had to buy the frame/fork from another shop at retail price).  I also won a raffle for $30k in March, which with my portion I bought the Felt frame and the Zipps.  Otherwise I'd still have my old tri bike which was a Specialized Transition I got on end of year close out.

That's what I'm talking 'bout... send me some smack back!  I did shave my legs for the first time today - that count for anyting?  While the rookies are still clearly number one, I give you some props for a fighting spirit.

Hey if you are committed to meet your goal (in spite of your injury) we would love to have you!  Besides all the work you put in setting it up, might as well have the "Captain" on the #1 team.  And no, you don't have to remain in-partial, just fair.

Ride on!!

Hey, no to horn in, but I just took a job with CSC...which means I get a discount on team CSC gear.

If anyone's interested in bibs, hats, shirts, jerseys, whateva, Just PM me. Personally, I've got a jersey on order ($42)....which is a good ol' bargain.   The discounts aren't hugely deep, but they're deep enough....

Hi Team,

Ive been dropping in, with the prologue less that 12 hours away, to give each of the teams a perspective n their colleagues in the pro peloton.

I have a feeling that a lot of the CSC teams (giving so many wanted to be on this team) already know more about the team and the cyclists than me but here goes anyway!!!

As of 24 hours ago the CSC team line up for the Tour De France 2007 is:

- Kurt Arlse-Arvesen NOR

- Fabian Cancellara SWI

- Inigo Cuesta Lopez De Castro SPA

- Stuart O'Grady AUS

- Carlos Sastre Candil SPA

- Frank Schleck FRA

- Christian Vandevelde USA

- Jens Voight GER

- Dave Zabriske USA

This is a team of stars so there are a lot of contenders in the line up for stage wins as well as Carlos Sastre aiming for the overall win. Sastre leaped into the team leader position last year with the withdrawal from of Ivan Basso at the last minute.

He is one of the strongest climbers in the pro peloton but last year was let down by his TT ability which he has been working on to be a true contender in this years Tour De France. The strong team support he has makes him a genuine podium contender depending on the improvement he has been able to make in this area.

Other key cyclists in the CSC line up include Australian hard man Stuart O'Grady who is more than capable of stage wins and the occasional sprint. He was the winner of Paris Roubaix this year and will be strong support for sastre in the peloton.

Add to the support team future potential Tour De France champion Frank Schleck, peloton popular all rounder Jens Voight and American Christian Vandevelde, this is a team of champions riding for one man. CSC has ALWAYS focused on having the best all round team of the pro peloton and the current line up is testament to this vision.

In the prologue in London it will be another American, Dave Zabriske who will be aiming for glory. He took the opening TT in the 2005 race and will be hoping to repeat that feat in London against strong competition.

Well I hope this helps get behind your team and in case anyone misses the action I will be watching it all live (assuming I can stay awake between 10p - 2/3am) so will pop in with updates if here is anything CSC related to report.

Welcome to the challenge!! BRING IT ON!

Cat

Just having two of the fasties TT men in the peloton gets my loins stirring!

I didn't put Cancellara on my Tour fantasy team though ..... so I'll lose a few points in the TT's with him.  But he's never an overall contendor and I have more faith in Zabrisikie in the TT's for placing.

CSC has a really strong team yet again, even without Riis at the helm.

Going out for my first ride right now!  A nice 40 - 50 miler followed by a short brick.

Who's the team captain again??  Did we ever figure that out??  (And welcome aboard Cat!!)
