If we do indeed turn it into a family night type of party my house may not be the best space (seeing as I do not have kids and do not have a dang thing to entertain them). Well I guess there is always XBox - but neither of my spare rooms have TV's, guess I could move the XBox into the master bedroom, stick the kids in there. They would be harassed by my dog but I think you all have dogs so that shouldn't be an issue - Not real sure.

I'm down with Saturday even though I feel really bad about inconveniencing Tanya

No real opinions on the other topics. Jambalaya and Pizza both require long workouts to burn off, but that hasn't been a prob for me for a few years. If Randy was going to be in town I'd volunteer my place and house mate to make the event more kid friendly, but he's going to be in CA. (He's a big child and does well with youth groups; maybe you'll all meet him eventually.)

HMMM if we all want to pitch in a small amount we could decide on a place to order food and I could go pick it up. I agree, unless there is a BIG OL workout beforehand I would rather steer clear of the pizza.

Are we planning on training?

Wow - Jen has already moved me into the "no go" category?

How soon is this going to happen?. Jen may be right as I am out of town the next 2 weekends.

Unfortunately, I'm not very kid friendly either [my filter doesn't work very well - even without drinking]. My son got mad at my daughter recently and flipped her off. Not the biggest deal in the world except it was in front of my mom. Oops. Now my mom has this weird notion that he must have picked it up from me. Go figure...

Well, as you all know I am not kid friendly either, and actually look forward to opportunities where I get to NOT be somebody's mommy!!  Just thought if Gramby was bringing his little heathens, then I could bring mine.  BUT since the all important uniform needs to be discussed, I can kind of claim it is something important that I HAVE to go do. :-)

WEEEL if this is going to be too much of a hassle this soon in advance to set up with families and what not we can move the party a little ways out and discuss uniform options at OWS or something.

Just let us know what is going to be the least stress on everyone and the MOST FUN!

As much fun as this sounds, I think I will pass on this one. I have put together the next 5 week block schedule and have OWS on for 2 weeks (every other week for awhile) just to buy me some extra time as the drive out east to New Mexico kind of puts a damper on anything else that evening. Also, it is getting harder to fit all my workouts in for some of these weeks with 14+ hours of training so I am doing a lot of doubles and even a few BRICK's with a 2nd (3rd actually) workout the same day.

Y'all have fun now. K?

It's ORLANDO!!!

No, Saturday totally works for me.  Gramby and I will have to leave th little sh*ts kids at home and make up for it later with ice cream or something.

Oh....and since it's Saturday, I think we should go back to the pot-luck.  But just try to keep it on the healthy side.

I will be there Saturday with Z (the boyfriend) if we are not in Tucson.

I am not sure I know how to make healthy food anymore. The last thing I made was bacon brittle. Yes, meat candy.

What times are we talking about here? Are you guys riding early Sunday morning this week? I am a morning zombie even when I do get enough sleep. I am not a morning person at all. I would rather ride at 2pm when it is bloody hot outside than wake up in the morning but I'd like to ride with y'all sometime!

Bacon Brittle sounds like the most delectable cuisine that has ever graced my imagination. (OK not quite, but wow that sounds awesome) That needs to go in my soon to be released compendium of bacon-based goodness. Maybe somewhere in the bacon deserts category next to the bacon cake... can I get the recipe?

The high is only supposed to be 101 with clouds on Saturday, so we could do something in the afternoon.

I can contribute healthy food that can be store-bought, like stuff from the Whole Foods deli or bakery or TJs stuff. Let me know what we need once the potluck takes some shape. Sounds like a good plan though.

I'll probably do a short ride on the trainer in the morning before I leave. Saturday is the start of my recovery week so I don't want to do anything lengthy, plus the ride will make my legs feel better on the drive. (I hate to sit still for 2+ hours!) I don't think I can do a run with you road runners in that heat. 101? OMG I'm getting a heart attack just thinking about it! But I'm always up for a dip in the hot tub and will bring proper attire.

OK then - SATURDAY IT IS!!

I have made that executive decision.

As for training - There is an UBER low traffic route that Josh and I do on the bike.(I will post the map but its basically down Meridian, to Mountain to Ellsworth, up Ellsworth to Guadalupe until it ends and back or we could go down Ellsworth to Pecos because that NEVER has traffic - Josh has ridden his bike to meet me after work, obviously a couple of options.) We could do that then partay! Everyone shows up at the house with bikes in tow and FOOD for potluck, then we go for a little spin. It would not be a LONG ride - maybe 15-20 miles? I will try and go make a few routes so you can look at them. We could add a tiny brick on afterwards -

GOOD QUESTION:
Would we still do the LOONG Sunday bike or should we try and make the Sat afternoon bike a little longer?

My weekend is tied up giving my retuning son his “Hero” weekend.  Thought I had mentioned it before, but I do not see it, so I better at least toss my excuse into the fray for missing the party of the year.

Try has been in Washington the last couple of weeks and returns home tomorrow.  He has been busy making local headlines and the local news for saving a 2 year old girl on Monday.  Turns out that she removed her blow-up swim bands that go on your arms and jumped into a public pool while the mom was not watching.  Before life guards responded, Trey swam to her and pulled her out of the water.  Not bad for an 8 year old that swims so much better than his father.

To that end we are planning movies and a shopping trip for his favorite Bumblebee Transformer.

‘Course he can be a beast as well but behaved at the Mountain man get together.

That's really cool news about your son Jerry! I'd say lets move the party to Jerry's and make it a Br-pho-tub-hero-ick, but but it might be a bit scary to have all those scary tri people cheering you on

Good news on the sponsorship front (From Ron):

I don't see a problem.  Are you just going to put the logo on your material...how is it going to be presented?  "...the following are affiliated or support our tri-club..."  Something like that?

I'm sure I can give you a discount code for your members on memberships if that would be of interest.  Perhaps even a 1 month free silver membership to new club members to get them on a plan and going.  Just throwing some stuff out on creating value for your base.

That might get confusing if the B and T were on opposite cheeks. There's an implied U in the middle

He does bring up the point that in the pho part of the Br-pho-tub-ito-ick we need to work on layout and sponsor placement.

We get sponsors?  Can we redesign the logo to look like the patches those NASCAR drivers get (I like the Wonder Bread Car Will F. drove in Teledaga Nights!)

Damn - Thursday's already booked. It's Open House at school and I've got a little girl about to start kindergarten. Can't miss this one (I could, but then I wouldn't have a family to come home to)
