Like Aaron, I don't want to be responsible for my own misery any more than I'd want to be responsible for my own execution.  You all go ahead and decide.

I'll be there with my blindfold and cigarette.

Geez, everybody wants a decision, but nobody wants to make it.

Well who's going to make it?

Well, Jen was proposing something like starting in Gilbert and riding up to do a loop of Usery and back down.  BUT...she was trying to figure out if she was doing Anthem or the Flag 1/2 mary next weekend, etc...   She didn't want to propose a new ride and then only ride a part or none of it based on her changed up training schedule.  SO....I was trying to wait and let her and Robot make up their minds.

Aaron said that Usery is too extreme to have the day after Anthem and the week before Timex.  So maybe 2 loops of Tour de Gilbert are in order.

Loops are always good since then we can meet up with a 1 loop group. Shall we make it official?

http://web.mac.com/j.donahue/iWeb/ESCKTC/Calendar.html

ESCKTC Bike Ride for Sunday, September 16th

2 Loopers:  Meet at Sunny Side Cafe, SW Corner of Baseline & Crismon @ 5:45AM.  (To be ready to ride at 6:00). One loop is 24 miles. With stop lights, mechanical problems, elecrocutions, etc. it should take about 1:15-1:30 to finish.

1 Loopers: Meet at Sunny Side Cafe, SW Corner of Baseline & Crismon @ 7:15AM (to be ready to ride at 7:30) meet up with the 2 loopers that will be just finishing loop 1.  (Note if you get there and no one's there, wait. If you say on this thread that you're coming we'll wait for you. Sometimes we roll in a little late for the second loop because of flats or other issues during loop 1.)

Loop 2 should be a bit slower for those new to the sport.

Breakfast should commence around 9AM at the Sunny Side up.

Link to Map of ride: http://web.mac.com/j.donahue/iWeb/ESCKTC/Bike.html  (Scroll down to Tour de Gilbert route.)

Map to Meeting location Sunny Side Cafe (Cafe is on the East side of the Basha's parking lot) We park in front of the restaurant to ensure a lack of a crowd when we eat .

Current roll call:
2 Loopers:
Me (aka Harry/hjmiii)
Tanya (StandsWithFist)
Chris (Cordova61)
Aaron (whalers34)
Jen & Josh?

Assumed 1 Loopers unless you say otherwise:
Jeremiah (jeremiahtosic)
Milton (mm5093)

Whooooo!! Funny stuff.

That was like watching a KGB/CIA agent interrogating some poor slob she picked up off the street.

/edit:  Dammit Harry,  you posted before I got this up.

Anyway, I think Paulette needs to add her name to the 2 looper list.  Either that, or she needs to take biking lessons from Jerry.  I hope Jerry makes it. I haven't seen anyone fall in a week.

I think Woz wants to get in. I will assume 1 loop for him as well.

Are we too early for the 5:45 start time and it still being dark? Or are you just assuming that by the time we actually roll the sun will be up?  Might be good for everyone to bring a blinky for the back of their bike or to clip on the back of your jersy pocket if you have one if you are doing 2 loops.

Twilight's still between 5:45-6:10, so yes we should be on the road with the sun-up. Blinkin butts may be appropriate.

Actually I defered to Tanya and just took the credit for her decision, just like the pig head I am

OK...I'm an idiot.

Note to Zach...

Dude - 1) I'm old (just so you don't forget I can get Alzhiemers QUICK!)

2) Are we in or what? How any laps?

3) What the hell is "Bippoty boppoty"?

4) Are you swimming Saturday?

5) What the HELL is "Bippoty boppoty"?

Bottom line: are we in for 2 laps or 1?

6) Where the $#%^ is this ride?

Late!

Get hip to the scene brother!

Ok, here's the status as I understood it:

1) ......ok

2) We are in for the Sunday tour with the ESCKTC, we can discuss the laps tomorrow but I'm thinking it'll take 45 minutes to get there so keep that in mind. I have to work it backwards...when do I have to get up!

3) Bippoty boppoty..........it's off of THE Office, great show, forget about it for now

4) Saturday - hoping not to drown, swimming? hopefully you can help me out so that is what it looks like (Yes - 57th & Union Hills, 8 am, I'm there)

5) It's all good!

Your call, I'd prefer 2 if we are going that far, let's put some miles on the bikes! Just let me know though so I can plan ahead.

6) The ride is far, far from here, in a Town millions of inches away.......too dramatic?

2 Loopers: Meet at Sunny Side Cafe, SW Corner of Baseline & Crismon @ 5:45AM. (To be ready to ride at 6:00). One loop is 24 miles. With stop lights, mechanical problems, elecrocutions, etc. it should take about 1:15-1:30 to finish.

How's that? it's supposed to be on the ESCKTC calendar too.
