TriAya - 2011-02-25 9:53 AM aaaand ...

so I tried to sleep a few times tonight, but no dice. i know i know, i should have just lain there in the dark and rested ... i did ... just not my style.

So, no sleep.

Should I risk driving an hour to take my cat to her vet appointment? or should I reschedule and get some sleep?

I vote reschedule and get some sleep - but only if you are tired - not much point if you will lay awake anyway.... Just be safe!
tiiiiired now ... but maybe not sleepy ... we'll see. if i still just lay awake anyway, i'll go and just be late. 'late' in this country is relative, anyway.

I activated my lats while swimming today.  THat is the first time I ever really felt them engage on my stroke.

Only took me 5 years!!

Congratulations

Damn, I've missed you guys ... and srsly need to update the spreadsheet ... February, been a real down month for me. But I'm hanging in there and I do think of you all often ...

Yanti!
I'm glad you're hanging in there. Remember you have friends that love you. Its funny that we have both been missing around here lately and then we both show up again on the same day. Its good to 'see' you again.

Paul! I was just about to say you have been MIA too. You must have super Yanti detecting senses....

How's life down under? Don't you have a match or something coming up sometime soon?

Yep, tomorrow night! I had to cut a bit of weight too and weigh in is in 10 hours so right now I am starving, thirsty and grumpy! I am also the lightest right now I can ever remember being in my whole life! I don't think I'm the fittest ever but I just keep telling myself I only have to be fitter than one person. I plan to go hard in the first round, settle in the second and hard in the third again. Victory will be mine!

Good luck!!!!!

I guess, who am I to talk... I'm going to exhibit some control over my mouth and go to bed before my MIL tries to engage me in a conversation.  Not a good idea right now and I still have to make it till Sunday.

Plus, it's hard to type with my wrist brace on and I can't feel my thumb.  Cry

Oh, but before I go.  I just got a BOATLOAD of Girl Scout cookies tonight.  My goal is to NOT eat an entire box of thin mints in a day!

I've had a crazy week with my husband out of town.  Taking care of 6 chickens, 3 big dogs, 1 cat, and hauling wood into the house because it is SNOWING at my house has been a challenge with a cranky 22 month old toddler!  I'm wiped out but too wired to sleep.

Ordered GS cookies from two different people and we're still waiting to get them. Personally, the only thing I have against eating an entire box of thin mints in a day is that they will all be gone tomorrow.

Hey!  I know I said I'd have the standings up from week 3 but I'm swamped with stuff right now.  I'm in DC doing a case competition and it's almost 9pm and we're nowhere near done!  We present tomorrow morning and if we win our group we continue to the afternoon round then winners are announced at dinner.  We head back to Clemson on Sunday which I have designated cuddle with the bf day as we were apart last weekend and only got a few short days filled with tests and schoolwork before I left for DC so I'm excited to just spend some time with him on Sunday.  Have a great weekend everyone!!

Hey Rhoda! I did have a fight last night. I did ok but lost on a split decision - the judges were 30-28, 28-30, 28-29. Gutted. I thought I had done enough and even the other girls trainer came up to me after and told me I was robbed, but a decision is a decision, it counts as a loss and I have only myself to blame for not doing even more or knocking her out.
Had a bit of a pity party tday and threw my trophy in the bin (sorry, but I don't want a runners up trophy for a contest of 2 people), went on a 70k bike ride (no mean feat with my one leg pretty bruised up) and am ready to suck it up and get back to train harder tomorrow.
Oh, I also ate a BUCKETLOAD of cake
So now I have a win a draw and a loss, next fight in 3 weeks.
