skarl - 2009-11-24 12:53 PM Looks like we need a cattle prod for some of our teammates, or maybe they have some big 4 day weekend training coming up.  Come on Cold Turkeys, let's hit our goals!!
I'm one of the slackers....but do have a big training weekend coming up - this is my first year working full time as a mom, so I am still trying to balance it all - have turned into a weekend warrior for the most part. However, I am leaving work in a few minutes and will be off until MONDAY!!!! So...I plan to meet ALL of my November goals, racing to the finish line! Hurray COLD TURKEYS!!!

Good for you!  Just don't overdo it to hit your goals and get injured -- I've been good at doing that in the past.

Happy Thanksgiving!

There won't be a Sunday update this week. (Since Monday is the last day of the month.)

Please have the spreadsheets updated with your total November numbers by 8 PM EST, Tuesday December 1st. I'll pull the numbers on Tuesday evening, and give everyone the FINAL STANDINGS.

Also, since it's a Holiday, I'm giving you all a Holiday Present! (You do know I'm a giver, right? Heh.)

You may now reach 105% of your total goal! That's right, you can help out lagging teammates by achieving more than 100% of your total goal!

Have a happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving!

Dee

ebshot - 2009-11-24 12:53 PM Got a swim done today.  I felt all sluggish in the water.  I really need to get back to swimming more than once a week.

Hey, turkeys!  Just dropping in to say hi and let y'all know that I am still around.  And I'm still behind on my goals.  I'm target to hit my cycling goal.  Swimming, however, is another story.  School, work, and some unexpected family commitments have made this month more hectic than I thought it would be.  I guess that's why they call this a challenge.  I'll see what kind of numbers I can churn out this holiday weekend.  Looks like I'll be stuffing my mouth with turkey and stuffing my days with swim workouts!

Enjoy the holiday!

Mom is baking the turkey. I had deep fried turkey once; don't think it was worth the trouble/danger.

Hey Cold Turkeys - Happy Pre-Thanksgiving Day to everyone.  I got a great swim in this morning and am only 150 yards short of my goal - I will be over it by the time Monday rolls around.  I'll also get a few more runs in and I promise to get on my trainer at least once this weekend to reach all three of my goals!  This is the final push - we can do it!!

As far as the turkey goes, I'm not brave enough to grill it or smoke it, so I'll use my Nesco and a good rub and see how it turns out - hopefully not COLD!  I wish you all lots of things to be thankful for!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!  How many of us are doing Turkey Trots tomorrow?  (Hopefully no one gets the turkey trots! )  I've got a 5K.  After that, we're going to the in-laws.  They live up a pretty substantial hill so I may try out the new wheels and cassette.  Baked turkey for us!  Cousin smoked one a couple years ago.  It was really yummy!  Cheers!

No Turkey Trot for me since I'm barely running but I'm planning to get in an early ride since the weather is supposed to be good tomorrow but VERY windy Friday and Saturday.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving Cold Turkeys!

I've been up since before dawn getting things ready.  I think it is going to be a rest day for me.  I was going to do my own 5k but, my legs are very sore and I just have a lot of other things to do!  So, enjoy the day everyone and gobble, gobble, gobble!

I wanted to ride today...started out...but it was way too foggy to be safe. So now I'm sittin' on the couch watching the parade because I don't feel like a trainer or roller ride. Oh well.

Happy Thanksgiving!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!

Well, you guys have got me this far - goals are in reach! I did my own version of a 5K this morning and we'll be hiking in the woods this afternoon. I am still on target and I would have blown off the whole month without this challenge, so thank you all for the inspiration.

I hope you all enjoy a wonderful day today!
