Elite 3913 far northern CA | Subject: RE: Wind Chill Warriors (Team 3) - January Challenge kimk - 2010-01-27 4:44 AM Morning team! This sucks with everyone getting sick or injured, This is suppose to be fun! But as Sal said at least it is not the race season. Rest those bodies everyone. As for me I had a great run yesterday! Met some peeps at the Pettit and ran 24 laps in about an hour...didn't have my watch or my HR monitor on so it is a guess based on when I got there and actually started running. Dave thinks it is about 6.6 miles. I feel great even though my longest run has only been 3 mile latley...I know about the 10% rule but was really feeling good out there! I could have kept going but the plan called for an hour. I will keep it at this distance for a bit and then follow the rule! I will get over 100% for my swim today, will hit 100% for core/stretch today. Will do my last bike tomorrow and get another run in. I will make at least 100% for all my goals, some i should get over...come on peeps let's push through to the end....for those that are at 100% can you get over to make up for those that got sick or injured...that's what teams do! GO WARRIORS!! I did the same thing when recovering from childbirth. I took it easy but was bored. I went over the 10% rule and felt good. Sometimes, I think it's ok to break the rule. Depends on your previous fitness, though. Good job for having such a great run! |

Maybe an extra run if the weather holds out this weekend. All you Warriors that are battling infirmities. Hang on, take care, and heal up. The season is coming fast. Your "last chance workout" is coming up! |

I'm starting to feel better. I have a really bad headache though. I went to work for the first time last night in 10 or so days. I'm a personal trainer. I only had one client so it wasn't hard to muster up the energy. I have one client today, too. I'm easing back into it. Nothing crazy. Bike trainer is on the schedule for today. |

Elite 3913 far northern CA | Subject: RE: Wind Chill Warriors (Team 3) - January Challenge Good morning team!!! What does everyone have on the schedule for today? I'm going to run with a friend. We are going to push our babies in running strollers. I may try to get to the pool as well but it's not critical. Have a great day! |

I'm going to run with a friend. We are going to push our babies in running strollers. I may try to get to the pool as well but it's not critical. Have a great day! 900 yd swim in this morning (drills), hope to catch a quick 800 yds on my way home from work, then I'll be at 100% for swim. One more bike and run session and I'll be at 100% for all three. Although I haven't been awful chatty this month (new leadership at work), this challenge has helped me tremendously to keep up on my goals. Any challenges posted for February yet? |

Expert 1580 Ankeny, Iowa | Subject: RE: Wind Chill Warriors (Team 3) - January Challenge Got in a bike this morning, will do core and hopefully an extra strength training to make it over goal. If I do that by Sunday I will have an extra of each. Bracing for bad weather (ice/snow) today. Hopeful that this time we don't lose power for 4 days like we did 2 years ago... Stacie |
