Evening, Nibbs...

I'll be MIA tomorrow - have a guest teaching gig at another "local" school.......which entails driving 4 hours to teach a 2 hour class and then driving back 4 hours. I'm not joking. I believe the gig qualifies as "teh suxxor"... No, I didn't volunteer.

I will certainly miss you all.

Well sounds like a peaceful start to your first day then - although 2 hours of doing nothing would have driven me nuts!

1/2 a mile to the good fitness centre isnt far right? Thats got to be a good thing!

I went to the doctor today at around 3:30.  She said she would be surprised if I didn't have a hernia.  sigh.

I went straight to the hospital for a CT.  Involved sitting around for an hour waiting to get checked in.  Then sitting around for an hour and a half drinking barium.  Then getting stuck a few times before getting an IV.  Finally got my scan and now I'm home.

I'm frustrated, but I'm glad it's still pretty early in the season for this to be happening.

zipp1 - 2008-04-08 10:31 AM I don't know how often I'll be wanting to use it.  I'd run but the traffic on that road is crazy so it may be a trip for lunch time or after work if traffic proves to be crappola.  Thye'e letting us out at 4 PM the next couple weeks and I called my husband when I got to the car. He advised me to go home a different route because of an earlier accident.  Days like that will definitely be a post work trip to the gym...

Have to buy some sort of a headlight for running and one fo the bike since there's not much street lights in my neighborhood

barqhead - 2008-04-07 6:55 PM Good evening, Nibbs. Beth, glad you made it back safe and sound. Judi, hopefully that will be the worst thing that happens in this new job. Cat, sorry your balloons fell. Heather, hope you ignored the phone and got some lunch. I just received my training schedule from my coach. So much for this being a recovery week. The kicker is Thursday. An 11 mile run followed by a 30 mile "easy spin" on the bike. I'm not sure if I want to see what full IM training looks like.

I wish you had been there, too!  I'm apparently a difficult stick, so people often have a hard time getting IVs or blood draws on me.

I'm keeping an open mind, part of why I wanted this job was to be on a similar schedule to my husband and if I work out until 6PM or so I still get home at 7 PM which leave little time for family.  I can also find out where the American Family on the west end is since I'm on that side of town to use those facilities I already pay for...

(Sorry - not trying to ruin your day, but I go through that intersection during rush most evenings & it sucks.)
