Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Nibbs XIV I went to the doctor today at around 3:30. She said she would be surprised if I didn't have a hernia. sigh. I went straight to the hospital for a CT. Involved sitting around for an hour waiting to get checked in. Then sitting around for an hour and a half drinking barium. Then getting stuck a few times before getting an IV. Finally got my scan and now I'm home. I'm frustrated, but I'm glad it's still pretty early in the season for this to be happening. |

I'll be MIA tomorrow - have a guest teaching gig at another "local" school.......which entails driving 4 hours to teach a 2 hour class and then driving back 4 hours. I'm not joking. I believe the gig qualifies as "teh suxxor"... No, I didn't volunteer. I will certainly miss you all. I hope they're paying for gas. |

Thye'e letting us out at 4 PM the next couple weeks and I called my husband when I got to the car. He advised me to go home a different route because of an earlier accident. Days like that will definitely be a post work trip to the gym...zipp1 - 2008-04-08 7:22 AM Hi Nibbs, There was some sort of miscommunication going on this morning...2 of us were left to sit in HR for a couple of hours because they couldn't reach the folks doing the training. I was sitting there wishing I had DH's laptop so I could talk to everyone. It will be an adjustment getting used to sitting and having an hour for lunch. Fitness center on site is pretty minimal--a treadmill, eliptical or 2, some weights and free weithts, fitness balls...The other location (1/2 mile around the corner) has an enormous center though... Well sounds like a peaceful start to your first day then - although 2 hours of doing nothing would have driven me nuts! 1/2 a mile to the good fitness centre isnt far right? Thats got to be a good thing! Have to buy some sort of a headlight for running and one fo the bike since there's not much street lights in my neighborhood |

TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: Nibbs XIV barqhead - 2008-04-07 6:55 PM Good evening, Nibbs. Beth, glad you made it back safe and sound. Judi, hopefully that will be the worst thing that happens in this new job. Cat, sorry your balloons fell. Heather, hope you ignored the phone and got some lunch. I just received my training schedule from my coach. So much for this being a recovery week. The kicker is Thursday. An 11 mile run followed by a 30 mile "easy spin" on the bike. I'm not sure if I want to see what full IM training looks like. wowsa!!!! and here I was thinking my week sucked |
