hehe, my sister is doing the puppy-training thing right now too Little guy is catching on quick with the "whine at the door when you have to go" thing. He still doesn't love his crate, but is all right in at night, so hopefully soon.

They're going to take him to obedience school too, but I think he's still a bit young, plus, he just got his final vaccinations (the 3rd in a series for something), so before that he couldnt really be in places where he might catch things from other dogs.

I would rather not be sick, but I will take this minor food poisening rather than the full out flu...  Other than being tired and a bit dehydrated, I'm ok...  some rough spots, but ok...

but you are right.  Everyone around me is getting sick with something...

The news is all over BT!!    (not really)

Nah, the LBS called me last night to tell me my new specialiazed 29er is in and I can pick it up tonight.

It's the full suspension Stumpjumper.  I got a awesome deal on it.  My LBS was GREAT!  I plan to write them a good review on BT tomorrow with some pics.

Flippin' sweet. I've been a little shifty of the 29ers. One friend likes his, another says they dun climbify too well.

I can't afford a new frame, so it's a moo point anyway.

When my parents come, they are bringing the DOGGIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So that Bailey and Elias can play with their "nephew" Logan

Yes, we are crazy Dog People. I must make a trip to the specialty doggie store to buy them all gluten-free/corn-free treats (Bailey has a wheat allergy).

My mom and I took her new pup Shadow (see also "She who springs like super dog") to puppy obedience class, although the place we took her had puppy preschool as well, which is more about socialization/play than actual "obedience". I have to say, the cuteness was overwhelming. The dogs got play time before class started, and then we'd have instruction, and then we had play time until the building closed (you were free to go whenever). It was really good for her, because our older dog is just not that playful anymore, and Shadow loves to pester her. We did have to prove her vaccinations and registration, but it was held at the shelter where she was adopted, so it wasn't a big deal.

29ers are more of a "flow and roll" type of ride. 26'ers are more "point and shoot". You can't throw the 29er around and need to ride lines. But, they have a momentum advantage so they'll cruise through instead of pushing and working.

I'm in love with a 29er Kona hardtail at the LBS I'm part-timing at. Left-over 2008 bike in my size. Wife won't let me buy a 6th bike though...

Cute, yeah, there is a puppy obedience school near my sister - I just don' tknow if there's an "age requirement' or anything. He's still kind of a baby - 14 weeks.

Puppy school is best starting at 8 weeks-14 weeks. Socialization is really important--hence the puppy preschool ...

Ah, okay. Well, luckily for this little guy, he's spent his entire life so far, until moving in with my sis, with his brothers and sisters. And he likes to say hello to the other dogs he sees around his house He seems to be social - they just haven't  been able to take him to the dog park yet - BUT this weekend, he gets to play with our other dogs!!!
