Don't know. Wife got one for Louisville. I used it. A lot like gatorade in taste. But now I want my own "free" case. |

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: music used in the 2009 athlete video? LA_Badger - 2010-06-10 10:38 AM Last year, Wisconsin was my first full Ironman. At the post-race meeting, they had the athlete & volunteer videos, which were awesome. Especially the music. But when my husband downloaded them from the website, they changed all the music! Does anybody know the songs they used for the 2009 athlete video? I remember they used "Closer to Fine" for the bike portion, but I don't remember the others. -Marci Coldplay Viva la Vida was on there, can't remember the other. I was really bummed about the change in the download. They handed out DVDs the year before so we got the same music, but with the download they don't have the rights. If you ever buy a DVD of the NBC Kona coverage it's the same situation. |

Maybe they only sent them for the first couple races? |

I'm registered for IMWI and Racine 70.3. I received a free case of it last week and the emails they've sent me as a follow-up about the new product have only mentioned Racine. Don't know if that means IMWI peeps are SOL or not.... |

Regular 109 Madison, Wisconsin | Subject: RE: Ironman Wisconsin : Official Thread Road conditions between Verona and Mount Horeb are poor. Be-careful of potholes on the downhills. One other word of warning to people planning on swimming in Monona in the near future. The lake is almost in flood stage - i.e. poor water quality. |

Extreme Veteran 427 St. Louis, MO | Subject: RE: Ironman Wisconsin : Official Thread ***Important update to this!! The Dairyland Dare folks are having to CAP this ride at 1500 folks....AND, they already have nearly 1000 people signed up ....so sign up soon or miss the FUN!!** Another IMWI 2010 Training Opportunity: OKAY BT-Nation! I am sending out a reminder for the Dairyland Dare/Verona loop cycling "Camp" that I am presenting as part of my coaching service "Ironbrick Training". I have rooms blocked out in Verona but space is somewhat limited....I've made arrangements for water and a porta potty on the Verona Loop and obviously the Dairyland Dare is a supported ride........ The camp will include a bit of "classroom time" on Sat evening to review race strategy and do a Q&A about what to expect at IMWI. I have volunteered there enough times to have seen plenty of examples of good and bad plans/executions so let me help you plan for a great race! Details of "camp' are on my website: http://ironbricktraining.com/CampInformation.aspx Low key....good chance to ride the tricky part of the course as well as put down some serious miles the day before...... Hope to see you there! |

I OWS with one of the coaches, Jessica Laufenberg who is sponsoring the event. There will be plenty of kayaks and support. For those doing DD, stick around and enjoy some more fun. |

Hey Suzi, nice to finally meet you at CapView! I'm always tossed up about whether to report these people as it might aggravate them even more. I do know that police take *very* seriously anything thrown from cars directed at other cars or people. If you give them a good description they will track them down. Maybe it was the new Ironman Perform SAG Vehicle delivering nutrition? |

Something weird always seems to happen on Hwy 92 or KP.....with my new geeky side view mirror at least I know someone is coming up behind me. I reported something similar to the cops last year when a cement truck ran me off the road on KP and they told me unless they saw it there was nothing they could do. Great to meet you too....doing the next aquathon? |

Huh...and I thought only the rednecks on the country roads here in Indiana only did that! Geez... I usually switch to riding in the drops when a car comes up behind me and I give a little wave as they go past. I don't even know if they see it, but lately I haven't had as many people yell at me as they went past. |
