Nice workout!!! 42miles is serious distance... yes and no...I am doing Racine HIM in 3 weeks and need to go 56miles! then that little run they put at the end...so not ready for this but will still gut it out and cross the finish line with a smile on my face! |

I am a bit behind on my 4th goal but think I can squeak it in. |

Expert 1246 West Grove, PA | Subject: RE: Team 2 - June Challenge Hi team, Had a tough race yesterday. The Philly Olympic Tri was switched to a Du because tragically a swimmer passed away in the water during the sprint race on Saturday. Very, very sad story. The race itself was brutally hot with temps over 90 by the time I was finishing. They actually closed the course early due to the heat. My RR is up if you want all the details. I haven't updated the spreadsheet yet, but will do so tonight and will make sure I have my final #'s in there Thursday. |

My wife and I were going to go to the gym but when I got home, she had to talk. Nothing against talking. I know you ladies have a need to talk and us guys need to listen but timing is a big thing. She talked right up until we had to leave to be able to get in a workout before the gym closes. Then I couldn't find my goggles (took them out of my bag to fit the stuff for my running race last weekend). By the time I finally found them, the pool was closing in 15 minutes. So we went to the high school track instead. Couldn't the talking have waited until after the workout? What's up ladies? Can you help me understand this? Coming from one of the "ladies"....I would have to say if you had plans to go workout then that is what should have come first....UNLESS what she needed to talk about was important to her and something she could not put off until later. Did you actually listen to what she was saying or were you stewing about missing your workout? If you were stewing and not paying attention I would say for next time asking her if you could sit down and talk after the WO so you can give her your full attention/ but then you need to do that! I am still waiting to talk to hubby about important issues that he keeps putting off. Good luck to you! It was the daily "Let me tell you about my day." Which made me wonder why it had to be before instead of after the workout. I've found that if I suggest talking about it later, for whatever the reason, then she clams up and I suffer the consequences. I haven't figured out how to handle this type of situation yet. |

It was 94 F this morning. And now we're under a severe thunderstorm warning. Sheesh.... BTW, I love thunderstorms. It's like a giant taser. You could go all Hamster and get on a dreadmill... Me, I'm waiting until close to dark... Yeah, I *used* to actually like the dreadmill. Now, I just dread it. I hate being hamster-like..... So yes, I'm waiting until dusk, too. But I wanted to wog LAST night, and I didn't. If I keep slacking off, I'm going to have to taser myself. Sounds kinky. |

I'm with you, the dreadmill will make an appearance this winter again, but for the time being I am going to be outside... On the other hand, I have done like 90% of my biking on my CT in the garage this summer... I look at that as risk mitigation.... Plus, I get a way better workout than stopping every mile or less for a stop sign or stoplight... I used to enjoy the dreadmill as well but haven't stepped on it for a long time. Luckily we have the Olympic Speedskating Oval close by, which is completely enclosed and has a track around it. Annual membership is $99 for the family and you get unlimited use of the track and can go skating any time you want. Now if its too hot or too cold, I head to the oval for a nice climate controlled run. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: Team 2 - June Challenge We did some home shopping Saturday. We're not looking to buy, although I would like to move into a home like some that we looked at. My wife is a catalog coordinator and has a catalog photo shoot coming up. She likes to set them up at model homes. Save money on props and is free advertising for the builders. Anyway. There seems to be a price point where just a little bit more money buys so much more home. I want to go and spend just a little more money. |
