2 miles yesterday morning....

Fall finally showed up here in DFW, so I did this week's 5mi "long" run at lunch today...  wind was blowing at 20-25mph, so it was a bit tough into the wind, but that last mile and a half with a tailwind was great.  I really picked up the pace on the last mile to about 2min/mi faster than the other 4...

WOOT!

BEAUTIFUL Fall *wog* tonight!  My legs are killing me from Saturday and leave it to a good running buddy to make sure that I ran tonight to keep moving.  (going down stairs is NOT easy for me right now).

Anyhow... the colors out here are spectacular right now... almost every color imaginable (well except blue or purple   )

I'm at 64% of my BT goal and 50% of my training plan (which I know I won't hit all 100% of that).  Either way... this month will be the MOST mileage I've EVER logged running!  WAHOO!!!!

Well done !!! Get a rest/cross training day or 2 in there to recover

I finally got google docs to work on my iPad so I updated all my runs from last week on the spreadsheet. Brought up Canada/world a bit! I'm currently chilling out in a small town in Alberta...ohhhh yaaaaa. Brought my other bike, Bill! I never did christen him with a name though....might take it out for a spin tonight depending on what time I finish in clinic. I'm heading over to the hospital for some surgery this morning.....first time in the OR! Ooooooooooo

4 miles knocked down this morning...  each mile faster than the last.  Felt good, but I probably overdressed a bit...  even though it was 45deg out, I got hot.  Legs are complaining a bit right now, but a dip in the pool at lunch and maybe a slow, slow 2 mi tonight or in the morning may bring them back to life before tomorrow night's 4 miles...

Congrats mattie - first one on the MW team to 100% - awesome job!

Just so everyone knows - mattie was over 100% but I adjusted the goal so that it equalled out to 100%.  If you are going to go over 100% just bump your goal so that you finish the month out at 100%.  And just because you hit 100% early doesn't mean you can stop running

I might have a change of heart next week and allow over 100% but don't hold me to that - because I will be backpacking in Teton National Park next weekend and will definitely not be worried about computer land

Keep up the great work everyone!  If you need to send your teammates inspires and reminders and encourage them to their goals!  That is what it is all about in the end!

Dude, don't be harshin' on mattie's melon.....

Anyone else having problems waking up w/ it still dark outside?

I've slept through my second morning run in two days.

Oh well... today we're heading to southern Utah.  Hopefully there I will get to escape the family once or twice for a couple of runs (looking for a good 8 or 9 miler Sat or Sun).  Then next week will be prep/taper for my half.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!
