Expert 1157 Tremonton, Utah | Subject: RE: Team Fall-dippides - November Challenge Hi Everyone. 4.95 more miles for me this morning. I'm looking like I'm probably going to be about 5 miles short of goal this month. Too much travel at the end of this month messed things up a bit. I'm still going to do my best, but time got the best of me. I'm good on the other goals, so I should be really close,. |

Master 1887 Brentwood, CA | Subject: RE: Team Fall-dippides - November Challenge I had plans for a long ride today, but the wind is crazy here this morning. I might have to settle for the trainer I need to make it over to the pool later to work on some drills. I can't believe this month is almost over. This challenge sure has moved the training along for me. |

Veteran 294 Germantown, WI | Subject: RE: Team Fall-dippides - November Challenge 6 miles yesterday, 15 miles today, 8 more tomorrow will get me to my 120 mile commitment to the team this month. Unfortunately, I bit off too much as far as strength sessions. I should have put down 12, but wanted to stretch to 16. I apologize for not completing that goal for the team. I hope it doesn't come back to bite the team and lose the challenge. I will get two more sessions in at least. I might get three. Everyone did a great job and this challenge and the support of the team kept me running even when it was 34 and drizzle. I have only completed one other month of 120 miles and that was during summer when the weather was much nicer. Thanks to this challenge and team I believe I will continue 110-120 miles per month until marathon training begins at the end of January. The times put up by some of you push me to see what more I can get out of myself. It is a great feeling. |

QUOTE] No need to apologize! You raised the bar for your goals and went after them. It doesn't matter if you make 120 miles or16 trips to the gym; what matters, is you pushed yourself! Congratulations on an awesome month's worth of training. Edited by brick94513 2009-11-29 8:23 AM |

Master 4119 Toronto | Subject: RE: Team Fall-dippides - November Challenge morning team!! I will be swimming today and tomorrow to make my final part of the goals. I should make it but it will take me to tomorrow! :D Had a fantastic run this morning to exceed my running commitment - my running buddy told me a race is this weekend that we tried to do two years ago. I say tried because there was a wicked snow storm the nigth before the race. We tried to leave but made it around the block and decided it was too dangerous to drive to the race site. What a difference - you would never know it's that same time of year! |

Veteran 294 Germantown, WI | Subject: RE: Team Fall-dippides - November Challenge Completed an 8 mile run today taking me over my total run miles. I have two more strength sessions and I will be at 12 of 16. I surprised myself on my run today. I did my 15 miler yesterday averaging 9:38/mile when my first two miles with my wife were 10-10:30/mile - her foot hurt too bad to continue. I then went out today and ran 8 miles at 9:15/mile. These three days equal the most miles I have ever run over a three day period - 29! 6 on Friday, 15 Sat and 8 Sun. |

Elite 5316 Alturas, California | Subject: RE: Team Fall-dippides - November Challenge Hi all I am back home now, went from temps of 75F to 18 F this morning, warmed up to 30-35F by the time I started my run I think and at elevation 4500 above where I was yesterday morning. I also have a bit of a cold going, nothing big just annoying and still not really recovered from the 30k race, 4 mile race, 10 mile run last week. So this morning's 15 mile run was a bit well sucky. I treated it as a just get it done workout with no care for pace. My endurance will suck for 10 more days due to elevation change yay. However, my run total for the month is now up to 171 miles, the most I have ever put in in one month and well over my goal. It was great meeting everyone I hope to team up with yall gain in other challenges and such. Luck wth all the races coming up. If I can make it to mine in one piece I hope to improve over last year. I do have more miles in, but man 171 miles in one month with a couple races can smoke you good. Take care. |

Expert 1007 Hattiesburg, Mississippi | Subject: RE: Team Fall-dippides - November Challenge Sorry I have been absent the past few days! It's been a busy time. Some great reports from everyone and excellent numbers. I did a 5 mile race on Thanksgiving and got a new PR two minutes better than last year. On Saturday I ran the MS Coat Half Marathon, did real well, ran easy and still was only 30 seconds off my PR but most importantly I left the race injury free. Woo hoo! A bit tired today but some rest will take care of that. Tomorrow, if all goes as planned I will do my last swim and be 100% in all areas. Cheers! |

Expert 1157 Tremonton, Utah | Subject: RE: Team Fall-dippides - November Challenge Well, looks like I'm close enough, that I may just have to go to the gym tonight and finish up. Only 2.7 miles on foot and about 3 miles on a bike. and I'll be at 100 % -- Chart already shows me at 98% so I'm very close. I'll see if time will let me get it done. Good run this morning, picked off 6 miles and that felt really pretty good - pace was off a little, but I'm ok with that -- was more important that I got out there and ran. Hope everyone else gets their goals done! Go Fall-Dippidies!

I actually and surprisingly feel very good. I did a cold water bath about two hours after the race, did a small bit of stretching within an hour of finishing. Mostly my knees were achy that first night so I took 2 Advil. On Sunday there was general soreness, but mostly I was more tired and hungry than usual. Took a long, deep nap Sunday afternoon. Did no stretching or anything. This morning I feel great, but will still hold off running until Wednesday. Swam this morning and feel fine. |

Regular 60 | Subject: RE: Team Fall-dippides - November Challenge Hiya Team! I just got back from Toronto from a few days away. While there, I managed to get in two runs, which took me over the top in the aggregate percentage. I am a little low on my swim total though, so assuming I'm not zonked from the weekend, I might get in there tonight too. Finish strong!~ Riley |

Let's get out there and squeeze that one final workout in tonight. Who knows, it might make the difference! With that said, I'm off to the pool! |

Expert 1157 Tremonton, Utah | Subject: RE: Team Fall-dippides - November Challenge Well, I saw how close to the goal I was, and well, decided to take one for the team. After work headed to the Club and did 3 miles on the stationary and then 3 miles on the Dreadmill. That took me over the top on all of my goals! Couldn't come up just that small amount short. Glad I did it! Go Team'
