I would love a SNOW days - but I work for a company in Alaska from home so that doesn't work out and today it would be an "ice" day. Blah on both accounts. Hope you guys get snow.

going for a run instead of biking today. We're getting the weather here too so I can use the drainer any day. Today is near 55 degrees out. Can't waste that.
I signed up for the Feb Love challenge too. I am such an addict!

I prorated goals for number of days this month I was allowed/physically able to work out.  I'll be over 100% for running, maybe a little short for swimming/biking/weight loss.  Not too bad, though, as long as I can complete this week's schedule!

Hopefully, I'll prove to be a help and not a hindrance to the team.

Where did you live in AK?  We have friends up there and visit when we can.


No love from Alaska - they understand that we might lose power and understand but I don't get an off day. I honestly don't remember having one in Alaska either. Oh well..

We lived in Anchorage for 7 years - hubby was stationed at Elmendorf. We would probably still be there but the military had other ideas 3 years ago. Now it is hard to think about going back with the price of everything including housing up there. I go back 1-2 times a year to work in the office - nice chance to see it again but not enough time away to miss it enough to go back.. Not sure where in California you are but we had a choice between Oklahoma and Sacramento when we moved - military made up our mind and sent us here even though they "gave us a choice".

Got my run done with baby in the stroller.  There's nothing like yelling "stroller coming up behind you" to get people jumping out of the way!

On another note, I saw something interesting on my drive home.  In a big, empty parking lot, I saw drivers training for mail truck drivers.  They had cones and obstacles and mailboxes all over the place.  It struck me as funny.  I'm not sure why.  I'm sure it's challengeing to drive on the right side of the road on the wrong side of the vehicle!

Stacie.  Our friends live in Anchorage and Juneau.  We thought about moving up there.  We really love it in Anchorage.

I live on the far north coast of California.  Sacramento is about 5 hours from us.  I haven't spent much time in Sac.  Too hot there for me.

So those that are able will go over to help out the ones who can't. We have no control if we get sick or injured...or even it life gets in the way! This for most of us is a hobby....not our full time job. We do these challenges to keep us motivated and for me it is a great way to get to know others on BT. I hope you all feel motivated to do your best....that also means to listen to your body, if it is sick, injured or warn out and needs rest, take the rest!

Morning team! Ok so I did not get my run in yesterday, was just toooo tired But I did get my last bike done. So I am at 100% for bike and core/stretch, over 100% for my swim, but still need 2 more runs. I am hopping to get to the Y today to get one in but it is not looking good for the last one, I will be at the expo all weekend...maybe if there is still a spot on the TM for the challenge I will sign up to run for Tri-WI. That is the only way the last run will happen, it has been freezing here, so no running outside for me! I can get on the trainer and go over for my bike and even get in a good core session to make up for the missing run....ya that is what I will do! Have a great day all!

Finished up swim yesterday, bike today.  5 more miles (running) and I'll hit 100% on all three.  I am very grateful and feel lucky I didn't get hit with any illness or injury.  Keeping my fingers crossed for Feb.

Me too, two little days with a cold just doesn't compare to what a lot of the Warriors have dealt with this month.

We are going to get slammed with a big old winter storm here. For us that means ice, snow, ice. That in turn means power out. so, just in case. I WILL get my goals in. I may not be able to update the spread sheet though. So, if you don't see a change in my status after today (weather coming in later today- usually means middle of the night power failure), let Dee know.

I plan to do my last run today.  That will bring me to 100%.  Smile
The weekend is iffy for any extra workouts Frown but we shall see.

I think we have come thru this month very well considering all that has plagued the Wind Chill Warriors!    Way to Go Team!!!

This has been quite a month for us as a team!  Is Sal the only person to have stayed healthy and injury free?

I got my short Friday run done.  I'm up to 40 miles.  Four more miles on Sunday will put me at 100% for my adjusted running goal.  I will be riding my bike on Saturday.  I'll probably have to do it on the trainer because of rain.  Boo hoo.  I need one more yoga session too.

So tired...haha..I think my monthly totals right now are about 78km for running, 35km for swimming and 5hrs of biking...couple more days to go...

right now I'm studying...on friday afternoon...I should get a prize or something for that...haha
