Today was one of those mornings where I just kind of dragged along and couldn't seem to fully wake up. I totally forgot to step on the scale in all my groggyness.

Down to 145.4 this morning. Only 2.4 more to go. Hopefully should make it. Started a no sugar, foods from the outside of the grocery store eating and walking with the hubby to get him started. I had been down 2 for this challenge already but have lost 3.6 since starting.

The best part is that hubby is out there with me - he wants to lose about 30 lbs and he has been needing to for a while but this was his choice. He wanted to start, he wanted to start walking to turn into running/biking eventually. We will eventually work in some sugar so we don't feel deprived but I need to change the attitude of eating bad every day to once a week to once in a while is ok.

The best part - hubby cheated BIG time on treats at work on Wed. Before this hubby wouldn't care, this time he came home, fessed up to me and was beating himself up. Had to use the "get back on the wagon - one day isn't the end of the world".

My training isn't going to walking with him this month and that is ok. For us to do this together gives him and me more motivation to get healthier.

YAY!

Stacie

Hi All!

Nice to hear of some successes. Stacie congrats on your husband joining you in  moving towards a healthier future!  Debbie congrats on reaching your goal!! Emma nice work moving into the 130s!!

I am in full on holiday mode.  Quite a drop in my training between time crunches, closed pools and the cold temperatures.  Eating is not totally off the rails so I am okay with things so far.

I also found if I weigh myself in the morning facing east I weigh less than if my scale is placed in the opposite orientation.  Makes NO SENSE at all but you all know which way the scale will be facing from now on!

That's what my problem is.  I always weight in facing west. Even my doctor has his scales facing west.  I'll have to talk to him next time I go in.

Which direction was the scale facing Paul??

Mine faces south so all my neighbors can see me nekkid when I weigh in daily LOL

My scale was facing west. I'm kind of excited for tomorrow's weigh in so I can try weighing in facing east. I'm hoping I will be 5 or so pounds lighter so I will be back on track for my goal. (He says as he reaches for more tasty nachos, all smothered in cheese and jalepenos)

The nachos were tasty. Now the problem is what do I do with all the left over stuff. We're having goodies this week at work and I brought the nachos so I got to take home the leftovers. I have a half gallon of nacho cheese left with jalepenos mixed in. Too spicey for my wife and son. I didn't realize it was that hot. My family all likes spicey food. My wife had a couple of chips with cheese (didn't have any peppers) and that was the limit for her. My son had some but not many. Now I'm stuck with all the cheese to myself. How many extra miles do you think I will have to run for each serving?
