barqhead - 2008-03-16 2:08 PM Splits are up and so is my race report. I finished Ninth out of the ladies and first in my age group. My bike and transitions improved from last year. A very good early season race for me!

Pam rocks!

Hi Nibbs.  The weather wasn't bad this morning.  It was misty when the race started and very windy, but not too bad.  The sun actually peeked through once the race got started.

I did not do as well as I wanted.  I had problems with nutrition and what I think might be a stomach bug.  I'm not sure if what I'm feeling is from the lack of nutrition with the run or some stomach flu.  Right now, I'm leaning towards stomach flu.  Yuck.  Did not make for my best run.

Aww Jen...sorry about the stomach issues...remember, you did run a 5-miler yesterday...;)

enders_shadow - 2008-03-16 3:23 PM OK, now I can share my news...I had a great race today - I finished my first 1/2 mary strong, I beat my stated Wish Time, and came close to my super-secret Wish Time!!! WHOO WHOO WHOO! No landspeed records or anything and I'm definitely MOP, but I'm soooooo excited I can hardly function (except my legs hurt, so I'm not really functioning anyway). That is all.

Congrats Kristen!!!

I like the combination of last month's challenge with this one.  It's cute.

I think next year I'm only going to do the race on Sunday.  The year I only did one I had a much better race.  That wouldn't help with some of the stomach issues, but I think I could have been a little faster today and have less sore legs now.

Dee's stats:
Total posts: 6997
Average posts per month: 999.43

I'm three TWO posts away from 7000!

And I really need to step up my posting rate, so I can make it an even 1000 posts per month. LOL

Morning, Nibbs!

Spring break is over so I'm back at work & getting ready to teach.

My legs are sore, but other than that, no permanent damage.

WHOO WHOO, Dee! Excellent postings! I am envious of your amazing ability to post lots!

Happy Birthday, Heather!

Whoo whoo on the new bikes, Heather & Amy!

Sal, your avatar frightens me.

Welcome back to (internet) civilization, Beth - congrats to the VB team!

Hope you're feeling better, Jen!

Hmmm. That's all I have for now. Sorry if I forgot any big news or messed any of it up.
