They had a group down there dressed up like the Village People.... girl at the counter had NO idea of who they were. At least we are all staying young somehow. |

Let me guess it was decided by a council of people that all have enough money for each person in there house to have their own laptop and wireless 24/7 access. So we were without computers this morning and until midafternoon when they restored us to the old firewall. That's progress for you. |

So do you mean that they still have card catalogs? How would you keep a hard copy incase the mainframe crashed? I remember as a kid I would stay after school in the spring to help my nanny do inventory and then help her in the summer update card catalog in our school library. There was a time I thought that that's what I would want to be, a librarian. Still do love quietness of a library and the smell of books. |
