wes mantooth - 2009-02-10 11:15 AM Morning TAN!  I think I still smell like chlorine after my swim last night.

sexah

You knows it...but know it is being overpowered by the smell of burnt popcorn from one of my cooking challenged coworkers.

one of the worst smells ever.

To make it worse, the coworker, realized she burt the popcorn and threw it away, decided to make another bag and BURNT THE SECOND BAG AS WELL!

Practice makes perfect?  Is he shooting for the trifecta?

mr2tony - 2009-02-10 8:30 AM How do you fu** up microwave popcorn? That's like `overboiling' water.

I was going to say the same thing.  It's like burning water...

Ever superheat water in a microwave?  Basically, it doesn't look like it's boiling, but then you take it out and it explodes.

I'm pretty sure it has to be distilled water, so there is nothing in the water to initiate the boiling and then a "shock" either vibration or addition of sugar or something started the water to violently boil, just make sure you're hand isn't above the water.

The container also has to be 'perfect'.  If there is any microscopic flaws/bumps/cracks, it gives a place for the gas bubbles to form...  (I seem to recall)

So my girlfriend and I have season tickets to the local college basketball games. There is a home game tonight. I'm thinking about ditching it to ride on the trainer while watching Biggest Loser. The game starts at the same time BL does, and will last the whole two hours. So my evening is gone if I go to the game.

The game is on TV, too, so I could flip back and forth to see the score. But would leave my friend by herself at the game. Not the end of the world, but I will either feel guilty for not training, or feel guilty for not hanging out with her at the game.

The Shockers. The Biggest Loser. What's the difference?

I threw a fly in my roommates microwave when I first went to college and watched it fly around, and then it stopped and dropped.  They watched and laughed, too.  We were bored that day.

Isn't the biggest loser the best motivator?  I told wifey I should DVR it and whenever I don't feel like working out or sitting around snacking, watch an episode.  Fixes the problem, STAT.

See, watching fat people makes me feel the opposite - I just think "Wow, I'm SOO glad that I'll never be THAT bad" and then I just continue sitting around. Watching skinnier, more in-shape people makes me want to work out more, cuz I feel inadequate.

I know that's really horrible, but it's the troof.

It's not the 'fat' part that motivates me so much, but how hard they are working - plus the fact that I don't want to get that bad.

Trust me, seeing some hot chick with a perfect bod makes me want to work out too...

Plus Bob and Jillian are HAWT and they are my fit motivators on the show...

This losing weight things seems to be easy, once you get over the initial suffering of giving up you favorite foods and the reduction of calories.

I lost somewhere around 13-16 lbs in just over two weeks, depending on when I jump on the scale.  I'm back to my old race weight, but I'm not stopping till I hit around 210-215.  I want to be FAST this year.

16 lbs in over 2 weeks? Man, I hate being a chick. That's pretty much impossible for most women, even in water weight, since we hold onto that sh*t like a cactus.

I checked and I lied.  I just started week 4.  That sounds better.  Based on my plan/calculations, I was going for a 3 lb/week loss.

I was doing a little bit better than that (calorie wise).  So it's been 4-5 per week.  Not 8...

So I saw a 'race' advertised last night.  It's a race to the top of the Stratospher hotel via the stairs...  Me thinks I will do it...  I might talk the better half to do it to.  Issue a challange (not to race, but just for her to do it).
