billsorg - 2010-10-06 3:52 PM Just curious, does anyone have any races coming up?  Personally, I'm done for the year.

I have the annual 5 shots 5 miles bar run first Saturday in December in the ice and snow. Outside of that maybe a 5k or 10k but overall it is marathon training and IM CDA training for next year. Maybe actually be in shape in 2011!

Be in shape next year.  Now that's an idea. I think I'll give it a try.

I have NOTHING but healing my leg until it happens. I'll be happy if I get to retrun to running enough to do my favorite 10K in MArch.

Morning All!

I'm sorry to have missed out on the poptart conversation but have to say I couldn't have contrubuted much as I have NEVER tried one! Thanks to this thread I am now armed with a thorough knowledge of all different varieties should I decide to branch out and try some!

I've got a sprint in early Dec (tri season just starting out here), a century ride this weekend and a fight in 9 days. Think I'll see how training goes over the next month (need some swimming improvement) and then I'll see what other races to plan for the season.

Awww! Indeed it should!

I set up my life so I can self-select these things. This is awesome. Unfortunately, I now hate my boss AND my personal assistant.

A century ... that's hard core!

I'm very excited about your fight! Sooooo much fun ... I can't even think of any good tips and I used to coach competition martial arts ... same as tri, HAVE FUN!!! Be vested in the journey and the experience, not the outcome.

The car insurance company decided to fix the car after all.  THe body shop guy said it was in good shape for a car it's age and I guess they realized paying into the repairs we made last weekend on a car they wanted to total wasn't a good business decision.

Whatever, we're getting it fixed.  I have the rental.  We are still going looking cause that had been our plan anyway to start looking towards replacing it.  If we can get a really good deal we will get one now.....otherwise we're just looking.

cottoneyes - 2010-10-06 5:47 PM Just updated the spreadsheet and liking the look of the percentages so far, a bit behind on where we should be for this stage of the month, but we're ahead of the baddies and will come back strong as the month goes on.

Read through the ghoulies post, they realise they need to be ahead of us by "5pm" as that's when we start posting.  They also think they have stamina and can outlast us.

My part might be holding back the percentage a little bit because I run Tues, Thurs, Sun (which means only 2 runs logged to date) and the plank component is slow and steady being completed daily. I have everything scheduled out to finish 100%.

Is everyone else progressing as expected to crush the Ghoulies?

On track, I swim Tues, THurs, Sat, Sun these days.....DO some form of core or upper body or limited leg work  almost every day.  I just allowed wiggle room in case I wasn't feeling it by picking the # I did there.

We're at 10.9% and the Ghoulies are at 9.2%, but not everyone has been updating.

the fact that it's my only cardio these days.  I tore my gastrocs in August and it is being really stubborn about healing.  I am not a fan of the swim....it is a step above tolerated.  I prefer to RUN and ride.  I hate missing my fall half mary

We're 1 page behind the Ghoulies and I know many of you work the upcoming shift on BT. Great job last (night for me) by the way! I blamed the Ghoulies for the 200 notifications in my inbox, meanwhile it was our team.
