Had a nice lunchtime run - funny on this Fink program I feel like I'm not doing enough, I suppose coz the last time I was training was for HIM so was at the end of that and putting in lots of hours and km's.  Last week I totalled 9 hours not too shabby but feels a long way from an IM!!!

I'm using the competitive program for the bike, swimming I do my thing and running do the intermediate with a bit of Jeff Galloway thrown in!

Feel a bit more emotionally balanced this afternoon, something bothering me but it's the same thing that keeps bothering me and some weeks i can deal with it and others I can't - this is a can't week! ha!

Squad tonight - I'm not looking forward to it, got to put little Robbie back in his place - flattered mate that you are interested but I'm married.  Off you pop.

With my finishing skills, i would have probably come in 8th if there were only 7 in my AG

Hello All, I hope you are well. Congrats Tracy on your race! And Kate. And Adrienne. And all those that raced this weekend.

A big thank you to this whole group. It is funny, I have believed for a while that we need to take something positive from each person we meet, from each interaction we have with one another. I was going back through some posts to catch up this morning and was reminded of the good in people, of the kindness and love that all of you have. Then I started checking out people's logs and such and I was truly touched by the toughness you all show in the face of life, by the love you show for your family, and the support you show each other. Be it for your family or your friends, you all live out the idea that we need to support each other, no matter what is going on. You truly are examples of the person that I try to be. This group is consistently a joy to be a part of and a shining example of my belief. Thank you again!

Hi, I have a disgusting picture to share, if someone's offended I'll take it down (or we'll just nicely move on to the next page ) ... it's like a "look at my road rash" type of thing.

Went swimming with my piglet friend from LA Jim and my sister yesterday ... got slaughtered by sea lice! (baby jellyfish) this is after lots of steroids and Benadryl, too. It's disgusting, terribly itchy and burning, and ... well, just blech!

No, I was NOT skinnydipping, sorry to disappoint you. They swarm into your suit and get trapped against the skin, then they unleash their fury. So I've got this bikini-shaped rash of welts! kinda funny actually, if it weren't me, right now.

Asalzwed - 2012-09-10 6:04 AM I was racing a 5k today to get an idea where I was at as I launch into fall training. Unfortunately I have been sick all week and wasn't feeling so hot for the race. I was waaay off from a PR and generally felt flat. So really all I got was a reading on how I race when I'm sick. Haha. It's alright though, I'm doing a 10K in a few weeks and can get a better idea then. I will write a report later but I managed 2nd AG and 7th overall. Now, to the couch with soup to watch football and track Tracy!

Feeling low, you still DO awesome!

CONGRATULATIONS SALTY!!!

Even stuffed to the gills with 'roids and Benadryl, I'm itching and burning like a mangy hyena on fire ... I had the brilliant idea of making an oatmeal/baking soda paste.

OMG that feels so good ... unfortunately, it looks like a bowl of oatmeal exploded in my bedroom. All over me, bedspread, floor, bag ... I kinda forgot how, um, well, mushy the stuff is.

Oh and of course Biscuits started eating it off me ... crazy cat. I know she'll eat anything but kitty kibble is expensive so she's getting oatmeal with baking soda from now on!!!
