My next (and 1st race) of the season is my 1/2 mary May 4th. The Wisconsin Marathon also known as the cheesiest marathon. It will be my first 1/2 and is one of my personal stepping stones towards convincing myself I'll be OK for half-iron come July. I'm still a slow triathlete. The past month I've been building on my long run for the 1/2 mary. I've progressed from 5 to 8 to 10 miles for my saturday long runs per the plan I'm following. This week is 3 on Mon, 5, on Wednesday, and 11 miles for the long run on Saturday, the next week adds 1 mile to each distance for the same day of the week with a long run of 12 on Saturday, then I'm heading into taper for the half marathon. A question I have for Amy or any who might know what is best for me to do. During my run training I've been run Mon, Wed, long run Sat. and my half mary plan says to run on Thur also. But to keep my multi-sport effort together Tue and Thur have been cycling nights. I swim on Mon and Thur. So the question is..... Should I stop cycling in my run taper for the 1/2 mary?
