What the heck is on the front of Dino's shirt, an evil spartan jack ?  Is this some sports thing I should know about?

That is the commemorative Tri-Donkai jersey from the Turbo Donkey racing team for the 9/11 race. If you look at my Avatar I have a usual team jersey on.  Anybody that has ever raced around here will hear the EEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWW cry all over the course as the Donkai faithful steadily make their way around the course! We all consider ourselves steady, usually slow, maybe a little stupid, and are too stubborn to stop.  Our usual jerseys have a big carrot on the back with the statement, "Chase YOUR Carrot!"  The name is also fitting because others probably just think we are all A$$es, but we have fun and the team seems to get bigger every year!  Hey, if the shoe fits  .......

This describes me to a "t".  Can I be an honorary memember??

Congratulations, Christina!!! Can't wait to watch your journey!

Kyla- The race was actually great. I would highly recommend it. The crazy part was my voluntary hike along the Na Pali Coast. Seriously, I'm surprised how many people hike that trail and actually make it without falling to their death. It has definitely made me reconsider my mountaineering dreams, although at least with that you have safety equipment. I'm a bit traumatized, lol

Dino- Go Donkai!

The Na Pali coast hike is hands down the best on any of the Islands.  Paul and I did it several years ago.  We carried two 16oz bottles of H20 and no food.  He bonked and I dug an old gel out of my backpack to save him.  He claimed I tried to kill him.  I reminded him he tried to drown me on our honeymoon.  We're now even!

Glad you had fun!  What's next?

Did you go all the way into Kalalau campsite, Suzy?  Because I consider myself a pretty experienced hiker, but it took us about 10 hours each way ( we camped overnight on the beach with the caves) and I can't imagine doing it without food... I bow down to you. I will not be doing it again, lol, but it was breathtakingly beautiful, literally. If I were to do it again, I would stop at the 6 mile campground, before the "hazardous cliff", but then again I did have a traumatic experience as a child, where I was held over a cliff, so my perception may be a bit skewed. My husband who is fearless with heights had no issues whatsoever with it.

Next up... Jackson Hole, Wyoming on 9/24.

Holy smokes Roni,

Will you adopt me and take me along on your adventures?  That hike sounds AWESOME.  I spent some time backpack in the Grand Tetons several years ago.  One of the most beautiful places I've ever been.  Have a great time.

I woke up and remembered I was supposed to register for Boston!  and so I did.  Surprised

WOOT!!!  So happy you're coming to Beantown again. This time I think we need to make plans.

Who else is coming?

Hubby and I decided to take our girls to Harry Potter World in Orlando next summer instead of me racing Boston again. Maybe back to Boston after that : )
