copa2251 - 2011-09-18 4:04 AMBeautiful weekend here, Spring has arrived, 30 deg (Celsius!) today.Started out with nippers - kids surf club training - I love this, I do water safety which means ocean swimming with kids ranging from 7 to 10 years today. even the 7 year olds managed a 150m ocean swim! After that a bit of surfing then a 1 hour barefoot beach run with my dog - George the beautiful yellow Labrador.
David, why have you been hiding George from us? Pics please! My first dog, at age 11, was the most sweet, loyal, beautiful dog ever, a yellow Lab! Dan! Report back ASAP! Congrats, Tony, sounds like fun...brutally fun. Kyla, not sore from the pull up thing but tired from cooking last night. This week last time i was in Suzytown, WisconsAN. . Have a GREAT Sunday everyone!

Hi everyone.  I am still alive.  Looks like the IM Japan folks did not have their act together as far as tracking.  I still cannot see results for the race and it is Monday evening.   Short story:  According to my finisher certificate, my time was 6:32:28 with swim 22:43, bike 3:40:55, run 2:28:50.    The swim was shortened to 1200 meters because the part of the course outside the breakwater was dangerous - typhoons and/or high pressure systems.   I think my T1 time is included in the bike and my T2 time is in the run.

The swim was great, the bike had more hills than I was expecting (my Joule said 1218 meters of gain) and the run was brutal (90 degrees and sunny the whole way).   More details when I get to my RR.
