Congrats sicone!!  i did my week 4 test and got to 50! My pretest was 19, then 33 after week 2.  My back has been starting to hurt during the later sets and also started at around 35 or so today.  Anyone else experience this?

Good luck to all and don't give up!  I've noticed a significant difference in my upper body strength and physique as well as my abdomen area getting leaner!

Holy Crap!  I started week 5 day 1 in column 3 and failed on the 2nd set!  I did the 40 in the first but only did 15 of 30 something!  Yikes I was so mad at myself!  I moved down to column 2 and did sets 1-4 and counted the first I did as my max (max for column 2 was 35).  Hopefully I'll be able to continue with week 5!

I had trouble with week 5 as well Ferretracer. Was meant to do column 3 and ended up dropping down to column 1, so hang in there and you'll be fine.

I've been redoing week 6 column 2 and am stunned at how difficult I'm still finding it even after completing the 100! I'll stick with it until it no longer seems so challenging before moving up to column 3.

Had to miss day 3 due to work and only managed 75 on the final test this time. Managed more than last week before I had to slow down due to aching arms, but I think the tiredness of the previous few days were still having their effect on me.

I'm holding off for a couple more days then going to restart week 5 on the lowest level.  I was putting on new to me (used) crankarms and my hand slipped off the extractor and wacked the pedal hard.  I did week 4 with it, but it hurts enough for me to give it a rest.  I did do day 1 week 1 of the 20 pull up challenge!

Thanks to whomever started this thread.  It took me a little less than 5 weeks to go from 26 pushups to yesterdays 102!  It was the perfect distraction to keep me off my knee for a reasonable period of time.  I did some pullups to offset the pushups and truthfully I feel awesome.

completed week 3...barely.  This was a tuff week.  I maxed out today at 21.  I think the counting is holding me back.  I get to a certain number and I start thinking about stopping.  Next thing you know I grow weak.  I wish I could just do them and have some one else count.  I think I am going to do just that for week 4!

So, I can't do any and I mean ANY pushups. Sad, but I'd like to do this challenge. I guess I should start with an alternative form, work my way through the challenge like that, and then try for "real" pushups, right?
This should be exciting, I've always been really weak in the upper body.

Congrats Knewbike!  and welcome Atlantia!

I restarted week 5 and mixed/ matched day 1 and 2.  I did win $43 for my classroom (to buy books at the school's bookfair) for doing 50 push-ups in a row as a 'Wacky stunt'!  So, this has paid off not only in it's physical benefits for me- it paid off for my classroom library!!

Great thread SweetP!

I started this about 1.5 weeks ago.   Started at 30, up to 52 right now, which is a PR.

A few minutes a day doesn't sound bad, but it sure does hurt!

When you go for your maximum to see what level you should work at, what speed do you do?  I've been going fast, then slower when my muscles start to fail.  By fast I'd say a 1 push-up per 1.5 sec or so for about 25-35 then really slow after that...should I go for a slower pace?  I think I may be burning my muscles out going that fast to start

This is advice from a friend, as I can't do any yet. He says he always does them slow and deliberate, concentrate and feeling each muscle contract, etc. Gotta say, he's got the best guns I know, and all he does and pushups every morning.

I just started, too. I did my first day of week one today. I'm not sore yet, but I'm sure I will be tomorrow!

I'm back again.  I did second day of week 2 yesterday. Focusing on going all the way down.

I was hurting yesterday, but it seems to be better today.  The thing I love is how fast it begins to make a change in my body.  I can already feel additional mass in the muscle that connects the chest to the arm.  (maybe it's just the swelling   )

Started this a few weeks back. Just did week 3 day 2 and have to say, week three really cranked it up. I am in column 3 and feeling the hurt.
