I actually got outside to run here this past weekend. It was only about 30-35 degrees, but the sun was shining and it was just so nice to have fresh air and be off the dreadmill.rnihill - 2010-01-26 5:51 AM So, I was snooping on the WCW's page last night... most seem to be talking about 100% or MORE this week. So, we need to finish this week strong Epiphanies!!! I have a run planned later today and may get my swim in too, depending on how my afternoon goes here at work. If not today for the swim, then definitely tomorrow. That will get me to 100% for the swim! Others to follow later in the week...
Heading out for a Run in 38F temps . There is some ground to cover this week to reach 100% but its doable .
Isn't it invigorating to have a little bit of solar heat while running on a cold day ? On the trails I ran into runners i know & that was fun . Mostly i ran past other folks out for a morning walk wrapped up in ther arctic parkas . Hehe . A bit of overkill i thought in my shorts and technical t shirt . i enjoyed the cool weather so much i made today a double with a track workout with our running club in the evening . |

It's kind of my own version of aromatherapy...Yeah, I've been doing the morning swims and even though I shower I feel like I still smell like it when I am at work! It's all good. It's the smell of satisfaction of getting in the pool! I will hit 100% on my goals (and maybe an extra swim and strength workout) but it will take me right to the last day of the month! Which was the plan all along but it's very satisfying to get there!! I was also comparing last January to this month and I have just about doubled my swim and bike time!! I might be a triathlete after all! Great work team! |

I will make my yoga goal, it'll just take till the last day. And as for biking, I think I may be poised to go over on that one, too. Go Epiphanies!!! |

Expert 1007 Hattiesburg, Mississippi | Subject: RE: The Epiphanies (Team 2) - January Challenge Good morning everyone! Got in an easy six mile run this morning. It was harder than I expected. I can feel the effects of all this training. I am not sure I will get much more done on my other two goals but we'll see between here and Sunday evening! |

Made some movement towards goal completion by riding 20.3 miles this afternoon , 65F with a good headwind . my legs were toast from yesterday but i hung in there for the ride .
GO TEAM ! I Am watching the film "Spirit of the marathon" .

Hmmm... a little different than my 20 miles tonight! Mine was just another trainer ride in the basement. A little cooler than 65 down there but had no wind to deal with! Unless you count my husband who had enchiladas for dinner... |

Expert 1163 | Subject: RE: The Epiphanies (Team 2) - January Challenge Got a strength session in tonight, so I'm now at 80% of my lifting goal. Tomorrow, if I get up in time, I'll head to yoga for some active recovery (I think my back needs it after tonight's workout!), and I also have a tempo run planned. That will tip me over 100% for both of those goals. I will try to get another lifting session in (or two) before the end of the month, but I don't want to push it since this is actually supposed to be a recovery week for my marathon training! Even if I don't get to 100% for lifting, I think I'll still be able to get to "100%" overall since I'm going over on my other goals. |

Master 2429 Falls Church, Virginia | Subject: RE: The Epiphanies (Team 2) - January Challenge I am almost there for my bike goal, I'll go over 100% on Saturday with my final scheduled trainer session. I'm already over on my run goal, and I'll get to goal on yoga either Saturday or Sunday. Bringing it in for the home stretch! |

Master 4119 Toronto | Subject: RE: The Epiphanies (Team 2) - January Challenge Alright team! So, i did bag a bike last night :S - it's recoverable. All i have left is two runs and one will be done tonight and two bikes. Very very do-able! It's freaking windy here today. Very cold windy! And occassionally a little streamer snowstorms roll through. Last about ten mins and then are gone. weird. |

Master 2055 Santa Clarita | Subject: RE: The Epiphanies (Team 2) - January Challenge Its getting close . I ran for over an hour this morning and ran into my friend RJ who was finishing up a bike ride . His group is running 20 on sunday in preparing for LA Marathon so i will try and join them . I want to see how i feel with the new shoes and getting up into the 2 hrs + distances . I will be happy to complete 13-14 miles. Will go by feel and may do the whole thing if i feel strong. Got a hockey game tonight , first time i have played in a few months. I know i will be sore tomorrow so i plan to get a swim session as recovery and to help meet my january goals. Go TEAM ! |

Master 1887 Brentwood, CA | Subject: RE: The Epiphanies (Team 2) - January Challenge Got a good swim in today. Decreased my interval times. Finally starting to feel more efficient. Hopefully, with a few more lessons and a couple more 30,000+ yard months, I might be able to post some mediocre swim split times this year! Hip is feeling better, but I'm stil not feeling great. I will probably lay off the trainer and running for the rest of the month, except for a little mud run this weekend. I hope to make up this deficit in my goals by swimming, swimming, and swimming some more. |

Expert 1007 Hattiesburg, Mississippi | Subject: RE: The Epiphanies (Team 2) - January Challenge Hi Folks, Sorry I have been MIA. The new semester started and it always kicks my . I am feeling a bit run down so I am doing a lower volume week, no need to push it and mess up things for my race. Skipped the run this morning and opted for an easy sweat on the trainer. That puts me up over 100% for two of my goals, just not sure the third one will get covered... But who knows... Have a great weekend everyone! |

Expert 1163 | Subject: RE: The Epiphanies (Team 2) - January Challenge Hey guys, This is actually supposed to be an easy week for me in my training plan, which is good because I've been busy with work and preparing for out of town guests! I had to skip my yoga class AND my run yesterday because I was working late then had to get my place ready for my guests who are arriving tonight. I'll definitely go over my run goal after my 10-miler tomorrow, but I may only get up to 90% on my lifting goal. . . And only if I get a session in over the weekend. At least I'm already at 100% for my yoga goal, I don't have to worry about that one! |

Will also make my bike goal this weekend, maybe even more if I go to the endurance spin class on Sunday. The run may be short... Hopefully I can make up a little overall with everything else... |

Master 1887 Brentwood, CA | Subject: RE: The Epiphanies (Team 2) - January Challenge OMG! I can't believe it. So, for part of my main set today, I did a 5 x 100 all out with 1 minute rest between sets. I finally broke the 1:30 per 100 barrier!!!!! For my 5 reps, I went 1:29,1:29,1:29,1:30, and 1:31. I've been trying to break this barrier for 6 months now. It feels really good to finally tackle this goal; sorry, I just had to share. Anyways, I added another 2250 to my swim goal. |
