Yup - that's what I can get with part of my gift certificate to the bike store! Toe covers. I don't have any. I have gloves and an ear warmer headband thing (that is also good for running cuz it's lightweight and thin).

Thanks for the reminder... I really need to pick up some ear muffs like that... Those things rock... and I lost mine last year somewhere.

I have got some ear muffs for you.

Can I take them running with me this winter?

Why certainly.

I do run very slowly, though.

Ed: oooh, toppage.

Allergy Test... The put a grid of chemicals across your back to see what allergens you react to. It is a fantastic test.

I had an allergy test when I was 10, and they injected all the chemicals right under my skin, in rows. The ones that swelled the most were the ones I was allergic to.

I wish they'd merely taped them to my back...

All i know is i've had both tests from different doctors. Different sets of allergens.

If someone were to inject me with nickel, i'd hurt them. Badly.

Yup - those needles were kinda thick too, if I remember correctly. Ick. I was 10 - my mom bought me a phone for my room. It was see-through with all neon parts (it was 1991). I thought it was awesome. I didn't have my own line, though - I wasn't THAT spoiled.

I had that phone.  I shared the phone line with the computer.  The coolest thing was that you could turn off the ringer and it would light up if the phone rang, so I could talk to my friends and my parents wouldn't know.

I was 10. Not too much girls can do to make money at 10. Too young to babysit (I did make a killing babysitting, though, when I was old enough).

Oh for Pete's sake...

My parents wouldn't let me nanny when I was 10 - do you think they'd let me ride my bike around the neighborhood at the crack of dawn by myself??? Most parents probably wouldn't either.

I worked at a chinese restaurant serving water and tea for like $10 per weekend when I was like 11 or 12. Until the Labor Department found out. Still. I had coin in my pocket to buy baseball cards and candy.
