If by fantastic you mean one of the most miserable experiences ever. 

I had an allergy test when I was 10, and they injected all the chemicals right under my skin, in rows. The ones that swelled the most were the ones I was allergic to.

I wish they'd merely taped them to my back...

Yup - those needles were kinda thick too, if I remember correctly. Ick. I was 10 - my mom bought me a phone for my room. It was see-through with all neon parts (it was 1991). I thought it was awesome. I didn't have my own line, though - I wasn't THAT spoiled.

Not that I am complaining - but why do you feel that way?

I had that phone.  I shared the phone line with the computer.  The coolest thing was that you could turn off the ringer and it would light up if the phone rang, so I could talk to my friends and my parents wouldn't know.   

I had a paper route and paid $11 a month for my own phone line. I was the shizzle.

I was 10. Not too much girls can do to make money at 10. Too young to babysit (I did make a killing babysitting, though, when I was old enough).
