LazyMarathoner - 2009-06-21 6:21 PM Got in another almost 7 miles, nice post-swim run around a lake and through an arboretum. I love running out of town, so much more interesting. My legs felt a little dead - wonder why? Had a great swim with a WI BTer, I love open water swimming. My next run isn't until Wednesday, but it's a 13 miler so it will be a big boost to my goal. I should hit 100% before the end of the month!

I'm impressed you are out running after the 100k yesterday.  Nice work!

So my little tri is nothing like Erica's HIM, but I did good today.   Well, I did ok today -- the temps were horrid, the humidity was incredible, but at least we didn't have any thunderstorms.  And everyone was as pokey as me -- no one could move very fast in this heat!

And I got first in my AG.

Phenomenal...  Great job!

LazyMarathoner - 2009-06-21 9:54 AM Hey guys, I'm settling in for my training week in Wisconsin, kicked it off nicely with the Horribly Hilly Hundreds ride yesterday. On top of the hills, which were the most insane I've ever seen, it was really hot and humid. But I rode with an awesome group of BTers - amyjotris, 1tt, wavedog and bertgwen - so we had a blast. It was by far the hardest things I've ever done. Lots of other BTers were there too, Whizzzzz and misskelly, schmize, mndiver, and more. We had a good time at the post race festival.

I'm off for an OWS followed by a run so I'll update my miles for the team after!

Nice, rides are always better with friends!

Um, hi? So, I last caught up with you guys on page 36. In the last thread. I have decided I am not going to try to catch up. I would guess you have discussed wine, beer, food, post padding, running (a little), Erica's MOST AWESOMEST JOB at Patriot, and how fantabulous BTers are at races/trainings. Did I cover most of it? Oh, and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of tasers/tasering. That's because I'm not sure Dee is capable of having a post without mentioning tasers, and Dee likes to post just a wee bit.

I had a faboo weekend - hard run on Saturday followed by a hard walk on Sunday (trying to not run two days in a row, grr!!). Very excited about that. I've put my BFF on the no-excuses cause, so it is now her assigned duty to make sure I get 30 minutes of someting every day. Yay!

I also discovered that beer has calories. This distresses me a great deal. I *must* lose weight. I think that means I have to stop drinking the wonderful bright freakin' red Wacko. *sigh* [a small tear rolls down Slugger's cheek]

Mornin' everyone!  I'm up for my morning run, and it's already 80 friggin' degrees outside (with "only" 83% humidity -- there's a cause for celebration!).  And at 5:00 in the morning we are under an "Excessive Heat Warning" -- what the heck is that???  I'm going to try to get a decent run in, but I may have to resort to treadmill running to finish out this challenge, unless this weather breaks soon!  Can someone send some cool weather my way, or maybe some ice cubes?

Hi Cheri I usually dislike the kind of weather that we have around here. But I wouldn't trade with you right now for sure.

Now when we will have -40 next winter you will laugh in my face

I'd trade with you if I could but we're topping out at 94 today and the humidity is at 97% right now.  I don't think that would do you any good.  The best I can do is think cool thoughts for you.

I think that is all we really do talk about, food, beer, maybe a little bit of tri talk but really, it's all about the food and drink!

It's gonna be in the 60s here again today.   Come on up!

But, it'll be in the 80-90s by the end of the week.  Yay us!
