I know I talk a lot, to the annoyance of probably many. Funny thing, that's not me in real life. I guess that's the freedom the internet gives you. That being said, I was hoping you can spare any positive enerygy today. My treatment starts in a couple hours. In 30 minutes I'm off to the hospital for surgery. I expect in about 4-5 hours from now, I should be in the recovery room and then the radiation starts... After that? The long process of chemical replacement/balance. If things go as they should, I'll see you on the other side. Thoughts, prayers and vibes on the way. |

First thing I thought of was heart attack! I bolted over to the school to check on him and asked him a bunch of questions, calmed him down and such and I think it was just his first case of heart burn. Anyways, I checked him out of school and took him home to rest and calm down (it scared him pretty bad) Thing is, is I am kinda upset that the school would call me saying chest pains, I am sure there was some other way of stating it. I know they can't be to careful and I am glad they called me, but I think they could have communicated the situation a little better. That definitely sounds like the worst possible way that they could have described it. But I don't really know how they SHOULD have described it... and they were also trying to convey what a 10 year old said to them, so there may be some broken telephone going on there. Glad he's ok, though! |

And other than packing for the weekend, I have nothing to do tonight, so I shall definitely be doing a bit of recon ce soir. I really, really want to find something new. They just sent out the new organigram for the department, and it turns out that I'm expected to be doing the exact same job that I was hired on to do 2.5 years ago... just 12.5% more of it. Not going to happen. I'm out. |

Sounds liek the decision has been made, now get out there and get something you like! Problem is I don't have the cajones (also, I didn't have the financial foresight) to just up and quit with nothing to go to. A friend is trying to convince me to do that, so I have an extra 8-10 hours a day to look, bu I just can't bring myself to do it. |

Plus, I don't think 8 hours of job searching would be anything more than frustrating after a week. Though, no one says you can't call in sick on occasion and stay home with your computer searching! |

Throat doesn't hurt, but more my neck... like someone punched me in the adams apple. I have to spend the night, but already up for going home. Maybe early tomorrow morning. I scared myself looking in the mirror though. Seriously like a horror movie. It looks like someone took a knife and slashed my throat. A 5" cut right from ear to ear! Haha! I also have a tube coming out of my neck got drainage. EW! Radiation is next a hopefully no issues like infection... Then hormons for the rest of my life. Boo. Thanks for everyone's positivity!
