Report on the Ankle: sprain

Not to do any activity for at least two weeks.  Ha!  Guess who has two tennis matches scheduled for next week.  Warned partner I would not be moving much.

Anyway, it is doing a lot better, still sore, but healing.  Kind of funny how once I made the appointment, the swelling started to go down.  

I'll be working this weekend, so have a great weekend everyone.

Oh, Robin, bummer about no path report yet.  I'll go with the No news is good news.

Glad it isn't anything worse and is on the mend. Now, hear this..... DON"T HURT ANYTHING ELSE (or hurt it more, either)

I miss hearing what Ann and her kids are up to on the weekends.

Hopefully I am going to get some yard stuff done today. It is the plan anyway.

I would love to get out and ride today, but the traffic is picking up (for around here, anyway) and everyone is looking at the scenery, not the road. I can't blame them, really; it is stunning right now.

It was a great weekend around here. Lots of yardwork and some fun with friends, too. It is nice to have some energy back and not feel awful and exhausted and bone achy from being in the yard. The shots must be working Dee. YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of, got another round today. Also, we should hear back from the path lab today. (good ju-ju request).

Been busy this past few days.  Taxes done and started sorting thru file cabinets for "shred day" on the 19th.  Working on getting the spare room back to a guest room instead of a junk room.  Constant battle!

So glad that you are feeling better and able to enjoy the spring!

Glad the ankle is starting to heal.  Can you get a sub for the tennis matches?

Good morning Ghoulies.  It is the first morning of spring break here in our county.  The traffic on the roads was much lighter this morning.  Plus with all the folks who have gone out of town, the foot traffic at the library will be much lighter.  We do have a puppet show on Thursday for those who stayed in town, however I'll be off that day and will miss it.  That actually does make me sad, cause I like watching the puppet shows.

Dee, with the league tennis you usually can't get a sub.  Hubby and I know the players that we are playing tonight and know this will be an easier match for us.  Of course, we could make their day and they could win because neither one of us will be moving very fast.  So I am not too worried about tonights match.  I'm not afraid to lose.

Ankle is doing a whole lot better.  In fact, I think I could go without the brace during the day and not hurt it any, but will keep the brace on to keep it from accidentially getting hurt.

Sons girlfriend just found out that they are going to be closing the Caribou Coffee shop that she runs, so she will basically be without a job in another week or so.  They had plans to go apartment hunting this weekend and that got postponed until her job situation gets straightened out.

Glad the ankle is doing better.  Will you wear the brace during the match, so that you don't twist without thinking?  Or are you  gonna try it without?

Sorry about the girlfriend's job.  What a bummer!  How are job prospects in your area?  In ours it is horrible.  But we are a town without a thriving industry.

I will be wearing the brace during the match.  I will more than likely wear the brace for any matches or sporting event for the next couple of months until it is fully strengthened. 

It is hard to say about the job prospects.  I hear about jobs, but then I also know a lot of people who have been without jobs for over 2 years now.  I have sent her information on two different jobs, but don't know if they really interest her.  One is only part time with no benefits, but the pay is decent for a part time position, $15.50 per hour.  She has a Bachelors degree in political science, but has been managing a coffee shop for the past two years.  I don't know what she wants to do.

I did okay at tennis tonight.  Taped the ankle and then put on the brace and it did fine. 

Oh, and we won the match.  Woot!

Yay for the ankle and yay for the match!

Jim's path report is in. it is not bad but not great. The cancer was in the apex of the prostate, but not in any of the lymph nodes. We have to wait another month and have another test to see if the effing cancer is all gone.

Kendra, sorry about your son's girlfriend. Job hunting is hard. Though, they say the spring is the best time so hopefully....

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

We are happy for the good news you did get.  Will continue to keep Jim in my thoughts and prayers until we have a full clean bill of health.  (that includes crossed fingers and Ghoulie Ju Ju)
