Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Originally posted by ironannekidd Good morning Ghoulies! Couldn't sleep so I came in to work a little early. So, is everyone ready for Christmas? I am mostly done shopping for the kiddos. I still have to shop for my nieces and nephews on my side of the family, and I have a few things to pick up for Donnie yet and then I'm done. I have absolutely nothing wrapped, and I don't know when I'll get that done. I'm not good at wrapping, and having loss of fine motor skills it takes me forever to wrap anything. In the past I've recruited help, I don't know if I'll be able to do that this year or not. I could maybe get my dad to come over when I get home from work to do it. He could have the kiddos gifts wrapped before they get home from school. Drop them by here and I'll wrap them, . I love to wrap presents! |

Originally posted by kns57 Good morning Ghoulies! Got back safe from Texas on Sunday night. It was a nice trip. We did not see much of Texas at all as we played with the grandkids during the day and games at night with the kids. Our son caught a cold day one (Wed) I came down with it on Saturday, and daughter reported that two of the kids came down with it on Monday. So, I am home for the second day in a row. My head is killing me, but I did get cough medicine yesterday from the Dr. and that is helping the cough. The head is easing off, not as bad a it was yesterday, but I figured no point in going in. Instead I'll work on xmas presents at home today. I ordered matching PJ's from Pajamagram last night for Xmas.
Sorry you are sick. but working on Christmas presents is fun! Who are the PJs for? |

Originally posted by ironannekidd Ann, a couple of years ago I ordered some cloth bags in Christmas fabric and used those to wrap presents. Then the next year I added to my supply by making some myself. Now, I give the gift and take the bag back to use again the next year. More than half of my gifts are given this way now. Makes the wrapping a whole lot easier, and much friendlier to the environment. Good morning Ghoulies! Couldn't sleep so I came in to work a little early. So, is everyone ready for Christmas? Only need to get some candy to fill the goody bags for the student workers (23 of them, OMG). I am making sugar scrub for my immediate staff along with them each getting some of the apple butter I made a few weeks back. |

I've seen the paperish gift bags, I've never seen them in cloth, I'll have to do some searching. I've bought 95% of my Christmas gifts online this year. Donnie goes out with the guys each year to do some shopping, he has a few things to get for Keri, one more for Caleb, and that will probably be it. We will be done for our kiddos. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Oriental Trading is where I first got some of the fabric gift bags. Here is a more expensive site, but considering the reuse value of the bags it can pay for itself. And one more. Once I had a few, I simply went to the fabric store and bought xmas fabric on sale and made more myself. If you don't sew, maybe you know someone who does. You might not get it done in time for this year, but you could work on it throughout the coming year and have them ready for next year. Edited by kns57 2013-12-04 9:50 AM |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Howdy, PT was not as bad as Monday's session, but it still wiped me out. Kendra, I am going to go out after Christmas and buy a ton of fabric and some ribbon and make those bags for next year. Thanks in advance for the Ninja jammies! Dee, you are going to have to go to bed earlier, young lady! Anne, I promise to not open the wine until the presents are wrapped. Now, back to my training course. It is interactive so I have to pay attention (drat! ).

It is easy to do a daily routine like this if you just kine of slip out of bed, fall to the floor and DO IT.

Uh, you could empty the bottle of wine and still do a better job wrapping than I do. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Ghoulies! Everyone needs to get some sleep. Holiday season is stressful enough with sleep. Without sleep it can be, well, I just don't want to think about it without sleep. Got my xmas plans finalized last night. After work on the 23rd, hubby and I will drive to NC. The 24th is my Dad's birthday so we will be there to celebrate with him. He will be 86 this year. Then on the 25th we will drive back home. Then back to work on the 26th. Then our son and girlfriend will come to our house Friday night and open presents on Saturday morning. My dad doesn't need anything except company, so I'm planning on making a bunch of soup (easy for him to eat) and filling up my sisters freezer with different kinds of soup so that it will be easier to feed him over the next couple of weeks making life easier for my BIL who is his main caregiver right now. So that is what I'll be doing the weekend before xmas, making soup.
