lkc01234 - 2009-06-10 5:32 PM Well I got 2 good runs in this week...and I have a 5K this weekend...I THINK I'm looking forward to it.  I'm kinda sad, cuz I don't think I'll be running all of it - and that was my goal.  But I know that I ran more of the other 5K I did...but then I don't want to hurt myself ?!?!

Tomorrow instead of my 1 miler I had planned...I think I'm gonna swim.  My hip flexors are feeling a little tweaked and I can feel it in my quads.

You're getting out there and that is the point!! Keeping yourself healthy is way more important.

And a new problem I have - which is really annoying, and probably funny to some.  My goal for my mentor group is to do 75 push-ups a week (3 x 25).  I work out in the gym in my apt - which has good equipment, but not necessarily comfortable places to do anything but sit.  So I stretch, etc. in my apt.  I also have a cat that can't get enough attention!  (Which 95% of the time drives me nuts!!)  So I'm sitting on my floor and my cat decides that means it's time for her to rub all over me...which means I'm sweaty and have a layer of cat hair (did I mention that she sheds like no other cat I've known?!?!).  Plus - do you know how many times I've done push-ups into her??  Cuz she decides to sit under me...which I know this isn't the same - but it reminds me when I was younger (like 5 or so) my dad was a big runner (not a "big" runner - but ran a lot :-P) and then he would come home and do push-ups.  So I was probably like my cat - and I remember more than once that he did push-ups with me on his back...I never realized it then - but wow!!

So in addition to still sweating, after my showers...I go into them covered in cat hair - probably going to have to let maintenance now soon so they can unclog my shower drain :-P

Got a GREAT visual of your personal trainer kitty making SURE you have a adequate layer of fur on you. Thinking something like "I fix her up EVERY day and she STILL never keeps the fur where I put it! Hmmpph!"

I have been limiting my time on BT while at work. It can get a tad out of hand!

I'm quoting my own post...is that sad or funny?

Not sure how much time you all spend in COJ (Cup of Joe) but there is a website that I find hilarious (of course you have to find completely inane things funny...) http://www.textsfromlastnight.com/  But there is this one I read just now...that mentioned a funny to above..

My co-worker (and cohort in crime some times...) makes fun of me - he is beginning to think it's a cult!  I told him I was addicted...I get an email from him (and he is sitting with his back to me, 15 feet away) "I don't think a crack addict ever kicked his habit by using crack..."

I feel better - cuz we surpassed Team Trifecta...but this is a Team effort!! Go Buggies!!

It's like Team Taser isn't even in competition cuz they are so ridiculously ahead...it's like Trifecta and us are in competition - and I feel like a winner if we beat them...so in effect - I feel like we win even though Team Taser would win...it just goes to show, maybe you shouldn't set ridiculously high standards/pace...cuz then everyone forgets about you and just tries to "race" with the "normal" people...
