I'll be throwing down a run and a bike when I get home...  That should help some...

Outstanding Bill.  I am in awe being in your presence.  I don't think I drove that many miles.

Teensy tiny run for me last night (but it was a good one - new PR for a TT).  I won't make run goal, will try to do a P90X workout tonight to get that one to 100 and hopefully burn some more calories to get me closer.  Sorry for holding back the team guys.

Finished updating the spreadsheet. Its oh so close. We are just barely in the lead. I'll be heading out in about half an hour to finish up my bike goal. That will put us about 1% in the lead of where they are now. Don't give up until the very end folks! Get those workouts in!

You can do it. One more nice casual, easy paced swim.  Do it for the team.

Sorry, my goal wasn't just swim sessions. It was "swim sessions following the Ruth Kazez 0 to 1650 plan." I honestly don't think doing 2 of those in a day would be a good thing.

For the team, I went ahead and did this morning's even after getting vaccination shots--one in each shoulder--yesterday. Tongue out

Now I'm resting up for my personal goal of swimming 1650 straight through on Friday.

Hey, I am planning a run/walk for my lunch hour today. Is the 105% cap per goal or overall? If it's overall, this will take my run/walk score to 122% and raise my overall score.

The 105% max is per goal. We'll let you off on doing that one more swim since you already did one after getting shots. I would say that is definitely doing one for the team. Good work this month.

I've been thinking of this doing it for the team thing. I did my swim this morning because of the team. But I did it for me.

I'm the one that gets the most benefit from the swim. And in the long run, sort of the only one who really benefits from the swim.

But, when I was thinking "Ooo, my shoulders might hurt, maybe I could skip this swim," it was the team that came to mind. I knew that those percentage points would count and that I had made a commitment to the team goal.

I know many times in the past I have started exercising and then a thousand little "good enough reasons" for not doing a workout woud cause me to miss so many workouts that I wasn't exercising any more. If this doing a triathlon thing is going to work, I can't fall into that pattern.

And that is why I am so glad I signed up for this challenge.

So thank you to each and every one of you.

Very well said. The team keeps me going too. Especially on nights like last night when I get home a couple of minutes before midnight and I still have a run to do. This challenge is the only reason I headed out the door late last night when I definitely did not feel like running. So I hit all my goals for the month, and even upped one of my goals when I passed it half way through the month. Thanks everyone!

Got my final workouts on the spreadsheet. I'm sure the numbers aren't final (since someone else was also updating the spreadsheet) but we are in the lead and its a decent margin.  Of course Bill wins for the month with his epic ride this month, but so far, here are the stats:
         Team 2 - Team 3
Goal 1 - 88.2 - 86.6
Goal 2 - 86.8 - 83.9
Goal 3 - 83.1 - 80.4
Goal 4 - 88.6 - 81.2
Overall - 86.9 - 84.0

Way to go team! I can't wait for the official announcement!

Hey team!  I got to 95.8% of my total goal.  Sorry it's not at 100%, but I did the best I could.  Came up just a little short on the swim and a few miles short running.  Hope it's good enough.

The way I look at it, anything above the overall team % is boosting the team so it's "good enough" so good job for the month.

yep got it in just for all of you....well and me too! I needed to sweat a little after having such a brain numbing day! I am home now...they didn't want me...must be the fact that I couldn't sit still through the questioning! I was relieved only because I didn't want to give up my last week of training before Racine!
