Yeah... my boss doesn't like the new guy. He really doesn't like the fact that he came in at 8 one day last week, took a two hour lunch, left at 3, then entered 8 hours in his timesheet. He has gotten several complaints about him from people in my office. He doesn't want him there, we will see what happens.

Damn! That is pretty brazen for a new guy. Especially one who isn't related to the owner.

A guy that worked in my department started keeping his "own hours" like that last fall, except he had been with the company for 40 years and worked side by side with the founder so he felt entitled to come and go as he pleased. My boss finally sat him down and requested that he work a 40 hour week.  The guy promptly retired a few days later.

I'm not sure I would have the gall to do that, no matter how new or tenured I was

He's been with the company 7 years, but that's really not that long. Just because things may have worked one way the last project he was on, doesn't mean they're going to be like that now. Maybe the lack of work was why his last project got cancelled.

And speaking of work...

No run for me last night, yoga and strength instead. I was on the phone with my boss several times last night, a core switch kept going up and down. If it went down and stayed down I'd have had to go in to fix it, so I stayed around the house.

A workout is a workout! Good for you for doing it even when you planned to run. I am bad with coming up with a plan B when things change on me.

Morning Ghoulies.

The earth only wobbled a little this morning. Got my trainer ride in and I didn't even whine too much when I got out of bed.

I am off to go to training with misogynistic, bigoted azzholes that I work with for today and tomorrow. The good news, there are two women that I like that will be there to enjoy the sufferfest with me.
Good times!

Good Morning!  Today is the first day in almost a week that I have felt pretty good.  I think my body was fighting off something.  Felt fatigued and achey all the time.  DH and I are also on a diet, so less calories than usual.  I have lost 4 pounds though.  I don't know if it was really the diet, or the fact that I didn't want to eat because my stomach hurt every time that I did.

Glad that I woke up feeling a normal energy level today.  Hopefully I can get back to my workouts!

Anne, wow, I could not imagine working a schedule like that and I'm the boss here at the branch but feel that I should always be setting the example.

Robin, enjoy the two women and ignore the fools (or keep them on task).

Neal, I bet for you it is hard to imagine working someplace for 40 years.

I got up and out this morning, but we moved very slowly.  I got the person who is going to be out with me tomorrow morning to agree to a 3 min run, 1 min walk.  Yeah!  The other person is away on vacation.

Good morning Ghoulies!

Not a good situation here at work right now. My boss wants the new guy gone, I agree with him, but someone has been reporting back to the boss, and it isn't me, but the people here think that it is. Only me and the new guy have our boss, the other people work for different people, but our boss hears stuff, then he calls this guy on it. I try to stay out of office politics, and I don't get paid enough to babysit, unfortunately perception is reality.

I'm hoping he's gone soon, and we can all move on.

Oh Lord, I DETEST office gossip and the rumor mill. Working alone makes me even less tolerant that I was before. I hope it clears up QUICK.

We work in a very small office, my house is bigger, and he has a loud voice, I'm sure everyone hears what he says. He was saying yesterday he has a job interview on Thursday, and is trying to set up a few more. I hope one of them works out for him. I really don't like the gossip chain. I have tried to stay out of that everywhere I have ever worked. I stay to myself, it is none of my business what other people are doing. I don't get paid enough to babysit.

BREATHE. Put your ear buds in. (Even if you aren't listening to anything). Look like you are concentrating and you can be in your own little world.

Off for day two of idiots, bigots and fools.

Later.

hello.

Kendra, hope you had a good run/walk.

Ann, That fellow definitely needs to be gone.  Hang in there.  Hopefully things will sort themselves out soon.

Robin, sorry about the cruddy co-workers AND the poison ivy.  Definitely not fun.

I am feeling better.  Not so dragging tired, but my stomach is still touchy.  I have time this afternoon for a workout, but I will see how my stomach is feeling.

Sounds like the ghoulies are not having the best week, but at least there is the village to visit!  Have a better second half of the week, everyone!

Felt good thru the morning.  Tried a light workout at lunch and then ate lightly.  Felt okay at first, but as the afternoon progressed, stomach hurts again and I am soooo tired.  Oh the joy! Undecided
