So I got some more time in at the pool today. I tired out pretty quick, though, so I cut it short. I should be able to get to the gym again Thursday and Friday. At least, I hope so. It's snowing here (again), so it's really hard to get motivated to go outside to bike or run. Yesterday it was 81 degrees here. Today, snow. If you don't like the weather in Utah, just wait a little while. It'll change.

I am here. Just been busy with the kiddos, hubby, training, lets see what else?? I am sure there is more. The kids and I did a mud run on Sunday. That was fun. Then we went out for ice cream after. not thinking about how incredibly dirty we were. I felt obligated to tell everyone around us that we are not really dirt bags, that we had just finished a race. It was funny. I hope everyone is well.

I'm not scared!  I've always wanted to be on a chatty team for one of these challenges.  And now that I am, things have picked up big time at work and home.  I still enjoy perusing everyone's comments about workouts, weather, and life.  Just wish I had more time to participate in the conversation.  It does make me feel a bit like a stalker, though

Computer is still acting up but it is working (temporary at best) I think I have updated correctly.  I am just over 50% for the month...< 5% in the POST COUNTING Challenge  For some reason when I log on at the library it won't let me go to the Google Spreadsheet...I am absolutly SURE it can't be the dumba$$ at the keyboard.

Anyway...should be caught up and it looks like full blown SPRING is here in Atlanta.  Just got back in from a 4.25 mi. run at the Chattahoochee River....how nice. I just finished telling my wife there was MEGA Pace Booty were lots of people out running/walking today and how fricking sexy nice it was to see others getting out.

If you have not seen Julie's (Girl Passing on the Left) account of her brother ...go to her blog/workout log....oh yeah....have some tissues with you. You are the best GPOTL. And I know your brother and Dorothy think so.

Yeah, the Feds probably wouldn't be too sympathetic about filing late because you needed to get in one more post on BT.

What are you doing in Alaska? Can I come?

Hi guys, I am sorry to be so absent lately, it has been a crazy end of last week and the weekend was nuts, and now I am trying to dig myself out of a hole!

I have been working out and logging my mileage. I know I need to get on the bike, but the weather has been awful, I am supposed to do 14 miles tomorrow, but I don't think that is going to happen. I am hoping to pick up at least 5 miles between meetings.

I am going to catch up inspires now. I am so glad to be back!

Welcome back Tammy! We've missed you!

you are right, it has not been very nice weather for a bike ride

Hi Beth...supposedly (and that is a big supposedly cuz it is coming from a weatherman) we have nice weather on tap for thur and fri. I can't wait.

Did you have trouble leaving philly last friday? It took forever to get in to Newark from indy for me, and I was travelling with a friend flying into philly, she had trouble getting in also.

I hope he's right about the weather - now I just need to find safe places to run and boy oh boy do I wish I had a bike out here!

actually for once things went pretty smoothly for me - I was only 30 min late, which is like - on time

I flew in late, don't know if that made a difference or not

The two people I was flying with (one to atlanta, one to Philly) actually had there flights delayed in the early afternoon.  But Continental in true Continental fashion never delayed my flight until it was about 2 hours after it was supposed to departSurprised.  I was the last flight out at 11:30pm.

The best part was that there were five of us on the plane!   The other four were a pakistani family speaking....not english, we hit terrible turbulence and I thought I am going to crash in this plane and not a single person will understand me when I confess all my sins on the way down!

WHAT?????? my Tammy never sins!!!! you have blown my entire image of you! glad you made it home safely! my flight was just like many I take with Southwest Airlines....like a broncking bull! I refer to them often as the Texas Rodeo Flight...although this one was from Arizona....

Sure is quiet without Julie around here......

I swam today and am at about 50% for my swim goal, I am not doing so good on the bike....0% I love my bike, just having trouble getting out on it.  I hope to attend my first spin class tomorrow night with a friend of mine.  Does that count for bike time?  Do the bikes in class track mileage, or is it just by minutes, anyone know or does it vary by center?

I am psyched for my first spin class and a little nervous that I won't be able to keep up.  It is an hour class.  My friend says I can stop after 45 minutes...yea right!

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!! and with a vengeance! I am sooo psyched after watching all those people swim, bike and run!! thanks for logging my miles...I guess I forgot to log my bike rides before I left, so I have more miles then was posted on Sunday...but it will bring our totals up for this next week! plus I am about to go run and hope to get in a swim before I have to work this evening!

I bought a used Pro-Motion Fluid Drive without having tried it on. Unfortunately it seems to be a bit too big in the arms, chest, and neck; I can feel water coming in and moving around while I stroke. I don't know if I can have it made smaller or if I need to look for another suit. I'll be using it for Sunday and may not need it again until next year.

You may want to consider renting.

KSH has done the most research/experimentation on this of anyone I know:

Here is a review of all of the wetsuits I bought... tried on and tried out in the water:

I have bought, tried on, and swam in the following brands:

Blue Seventy (BS)
QR
2XU
Zoot
Desoto

Yea, I have had a time finding a wetsuit that fit me right, can you tell? I am also being really picky about my wetsuit, because I'm a good swimmer and a cheap wetsuit will slow me down, and I will be bothered by it.

BS is a nice wetsuit. For women, it's good because it's cut for someone with booty and boobs. That is what I needed. The neoprene is nice and I didn't have any issues with the one I rented for a race. Shoulders were flexible. I bought the Energie. I did not keep it though. http://www.trisports.com/blseenfuwe.html

QR is a really nice wetsuit too. Honestly, I liked this neoprene the best. It was just different. Very flexible. This wetsuit is made for someone with beefy legs and a large chest (not necessarily big because of boobs!). The size that should have fit me, was HUGE on me. If you are a beefy guy, this would be a good wetsuit for you. http://www.trisports.com/qr20hytrwe.html

2XU is a nice wetsuit. No complaints really. It was just cut for someone who is very thin without any hips, boobs, or a booty. If you are a thin guy/gal with very little "sticking out" muscle wise, etc. this wetsuit would be good. I think I got this one on sale: http://www.trisports.com/2xueltrwe.html

Zoot Zenith is a VERY NICE wetsuit. Totally different from all the other ones. It has these pieces of boyancy swen into the inside of the wetsuit. None of the other wetsuits are like this one. Unless you see a picture of the inside of the wetsuit, you don't really understand how different it is. I kept this one. It's flexible and I could swim in it just fine.
http://www.trisports.com/zootzenith.html

Desoto is an OK wesuit. Not very innovative. The neoprene was the worst in the bunch. It was thick and not very flexible. Compared to the other ones, I would rank this one the lowest. The bib john was odd and pulled up into my crotch (fit issue). The top was a pain to get on and then it fit oddly around my boobs. A lot of people love this wetsuit, but fit wise it didn't work for me.
http://www.trisports.com/t1blpebi.html
http://www.trisports.com/t1fiwazipu.html

In the end though, buying a wetsuit is ALL ABOUT FIT. Each brand is cut differently and fits differently. Just because you fit the "size" on the chart, doesn't mean it will work for you in the water.

You might also want to think about renting one if you don't think you will use it a lot.

Good luck.

In the end though, buying a wetsuit is ALL ABOUT FIT. Each brand is cut differently and fits differently. Just because you fit the "size" on the chart, doesn't mean it will work for you in the water.

You might also want to think about renting one if you don't think you will use it a lot.

Good luck.

thanks Nicole....will print this and take it with me when I go and look!
