MORNING GHOULIES.

heading out in a few to run a few errands.

wanted to say thank for all your wonderful ideas for omelete fixins'.

i went to make my 'usual' this morning - egg whites, shrooms, spinach - and thought, man i dont want to eat that this morning.

my alternative was to go to Paneras and have a less than PALEO breakfast sandwich (uber, uber yummy and healthy, but still....)

i thought better of it.

what i really needed to do was change up my usual.  and i started thinking of all the fixins you posted....ding.  ding.  ding.

uber yummy omelete.

shrooms, spinach AND salsa!  (i think KIM, you mentioned salsa....)

just added that little xtra so i didnt seem so mundane/boring.

same ol same gets....well....ol.

speaking of PALEO DIET.

stepped on the scale this morning.  another 3 pounds lost.  that's 7 total since i started.

dont have much to lose, you know the typical 5-10 that hangs around.

super excited to see, the added bonus.  im feeling GREAT, a lot more energy, less mood swings [minus the post-half malaise earlier in the week] and a lot less intestinal/stomach issues (i think that originated from additives and perservatives)

its ALL GOOD.

thanks to my bestest GHOULIES, for the 'assist'.

mwah!

I am going just over 3 miles today.  I had tweaked my bad knee last week and have been cutting back on miles and frequency.  But it is feeling really good yesterday and this morning.  I think my consistent session this past week on the airdyne stationary bike have helped.  I have it because it is supposed to help my knee, but I haven't been very consistent using it until this challenge!

Hmm, you think it works better when you actually ride it?!  Undecided

Actually, I don't care for Starbucks coffee (yes, I know... sacriledge here in the state where it started!  But it is too strong for me.

Tahini is a spread that is in where the peanut butters, almond butters, etc. are in the store.  It is much more liquid than the "butters".  I don't know if it is only made from roasted sesame, but that is what my grocery carries.  It is a mild flavor, but enough to change up my Peanut butter or almond butter for variety.

My favorite use of tahini is to flavor rice.   yummmm.  I bet it would do well mixed into your grated califlower.  It gives just that mild yummy nutty flavor.

works better when you actually ride it...most definately. LOL.  we dont have any of those at our Y, id like to try one out.  are they a lot different than regular stationary bike?  any 'advantage'

sounds like your moving forward w a great plan w a tweaked knee.  better to take care of it when its still something 'minor' than ignore it and create a bigger problem for yourself.

i love me a nice easy 3-4 miler.

i need to get at least one run in this week.  at least that's what ive promised myself.

im doin my first 2 hr endurance spin tomorrow, taking it easy though w this cranky hip/glute/IT band...so probably something short/sweet/easy on Sunday.  and most likely on the TM.

i wanna hold on to at least some of the distance i worked up to w my 1/2 trng, but i wanna make sure i recover well to...

you have a race coming up right - 10K?

sounds oh so yummmy.

ill definately have to chk it out.

its amazing how adding in a little something different can change up a flavor of something usual that you eat.

like this morning, just adding in that little xtra salsa to my eggs, made a world of difference.

uber yummy.

I have the airdyne at home.  Bought it used (barely) off of Craig's list.  It was recommended by a PT as the best positioning for rehab on the knee.  The front wheel is a big fan so the harder you pedal the more "breeze" is created.  I usually feel a little cold the first few minutes.

At the Y, they have recumbants and Lifecycles.  I don't really care for either one.  I wish we had a spin class and bikes.  Maybe some day.  From what I have read, I can't imagine a two hour class.  Wow.

I am doing a fun run on Thanksgiving but it is a 5k.
