Elite 3447 West Allis, WI | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge pdbman - 2010-02-25 11:38 AM Was busy with home projects last night and was worried that I would miss my run. When I finished cleaning up at 10:30 and looked outside it was snowing but I was determined to go for a run. I'm glad that I did. It was a beautiful and peaceful night (except for the occasional car) and I loved watching the snow fall. My time was even better then normal and that doesn't take into account that I had a phone call part way through the run. I'm very glad I went running. Plus, that puts me at 100% on my love goal and 105% on my mileage goal and I still have my long run to go on Saturday. This has been a good month. Now if I can just get my weight goal, it would be the icing on the cake. excellent job Paul!! |

Elite 3447 West Allis, WI | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge Taught a great strength class today then went for my run...had to cut it a little short but got it in. Need one more to make my love goal, might be able to squeeze in an extra too! I fell short on my swim and bike goals this month...I think not having them "count" for the challenge allowed me to slack when I shouldn't have....although I will say my body liked the break! |

Master 2146 East Side of the Bay | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge crimefighter2 - 2010-02-25 9:40 AM got in over 4 miles yesterday over lunch. I played with the incline and varied speed. I won't be able to make my goal, but I'll do what I can. Sorry gang. Today is to be a rest day according to the schedule, but maybe I'll put a mile or two on. don't sweat it Duane. We are just happy that you could still participate given the change in your schedule/work responsibilities! |

Master 2146 East Side of the Bay | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge billsorg - 2010-02-25 1:20 PM Woo Hoo!! Great job on your miles this month. So frustrating that they cancel school before the snow flies!Got in a 5 mile treadmill run at lunch. Slow, steady pace... we'll call it a recovey run from the 8 miler yesterday. Felt good to get out some of the soreness. My goal is completely within reach now. My monthly running total now sits at 56.23 Mi. Just 3.77 miles to go to reach my 60 mile goal!!! This snow storm is looking like a non-event right now. We haven't even gotten a dusting. |

I am breaking it into first 5 miles kinda fun and a little mellow, 2nd 5 miles a little harder tempo, more alt rock stuff and final 5K headbanger just HTFU stuff. Suggestions....... Two of my favorite running songs are: Holding out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler Whiskey in the Jar by Metallica Can you tell I'm a child of the 80's? More fun, recent ones are Hot 'n cold by Katy Perry and Gotta be Somebody by Nickelback But based on a recent kick-A$$ running list, my favorite running songs are not very kick-A$$... so you may want to just ignore this! |

I threw in Bleed It Out too even if it is a little slow it just seemed appropriate! Thanks for the suggestions! Keep 'em coming! |

Expert 1246 West Grove, PA | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge Yet another snow day for the kids... I think that makes 10 for the year. The roads were pretty bad and I thought about turning around and having my own snow day, but I made it in to work. I'm going to go to the Y at lunch and knock out the rest of this month's running goal and then take the entire weekend off. It's my daughter's 7th birthday and we have a bunch of family coming over tomorrow, so I'm very much looking forward to that. Oh, did I mention that I am soooooo tired of the freaking snow!?!?!? |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge Wish I could take a snow day from work. Its looking like a crazy day. Getting some complaints from people because a program is doing exactly as it is designed to do. (Why key in a delivery appointment for tomorrow when its not going to be delivered for two weeks and then, Surprise! its shows that you missed the appointment). That on top of the other hot projects I already have. I will make it out for a run tonight, no matter how late it is. I just might not make it to the gym for the weigh in. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: Hugs - February Challenge D001 - 2010-02-25 7:23 PMI have the hiccups. It's driving me crazy.... HIC..... I drive my wife crazy about hiccups. She heard some crazy new way to get rid of them that she wants to try out on me. She won't tell me cause it won't work if you know what it is before. Problem is, when I get the hiccups, its usually just one and then I'm done. Every once in a while I might go for a second one but that's it. Drives her crazy. She'll hear one and get her hopes up only to have them dashed when the hiccups don't continue. Makes me laugh every time. |
