barqhead - 2008-03-18 4:33 PM Hiya, Nibbs! I'm still doing laundry. It never ends!!! But I will escape in just a little bit. It's my Bunco night tonight. So I'll get to spend the evening eating good food with good friends. Yay!!!! Hope everyone else has a pleasant evening and is not trapped at werk.

Actually left work early to go meet Mila at Starbucks.  We only had a half hour.  Her sched is crazy busy this week...

Jealousy abounds. Mila is teh roxxor.

Yes, Mila rox...

Artemis - 2008-03-18 7:15 PM Why are flights so expensive? It's crazy! Especially considering how much the airlines suck.
Hear, hear! You speaketh the truth! We were trying to fly to MI to chill with the in-laws and so I could run a cool 25K race, but noooooo, the airfare was outrageous. Where were you hoping to go?

We are going to Seattle at the end of August to visit some friends.  We bought the tickets.  It's a lot more than the last time we flew.

We're also trying to go down to Mexico (near Cozumel) in November for a friend's wedding.  Plane tickets are like $550/person, but it would be nice to go down there.   That reminds me I need to change the name on my passport to my married name and make sure my hubby's passport is valid.

Cozumel...jealous...

Good catch on the passports...I think typical process time is running close to (edit) 6 months 12 weeks right now...

A dice game where you roll for sixes. Very little thinking, no strategy. Just a whole lot of eating and running your mouth

Airfare is why we are driving to Mooseman in June. Of course with gas prices and a van without a transmission, might be easier to freakin' fly.

Morning, Nibbs.

I am hoping for rain without thunder or lightning so I can get my swim workout done after my shift. I need to exercise off all the scones I devoured last night at Bunco!

Sounds like fun, Jen! Mmmm. Mexico in November - probably worth the $550. (OK, it's not like November in Richmond is all that rough, but still.)

But yeah - given current gas prices, it's probably a tossup for some trips. We have a family vacation in FL in late July...I should probably do the math and figure out which mode of transportation will be cheaper.

Mmmm. I think if I were playing a game that required no thinking, I would be drinking wine instead - but hey, scones sound good too.

Gray and nasty looking here, but they say no thunderstorms until late afternoon. I ran this morning - it was balmy at 5:45am.

We usually drive if we are going home to Wisconsin.  My car gets about 45 mpg and it's a lot easier to have a car to go between our parents' houses.  Plus, we have so much stuff that it would be hard to fly.

I would really like to go to Mexico.  I think we're going to try to make it work.
