I had a good, but rather lazy weekend. Sophie's bottom bracket was still making creaking noises, so I took it back... the pulled the BB and regreased/lubed it, then pulled the freewheel and put in a different one. All warranty repairs but on a brand new bike - geesh.

Bike rides great, though.

At least it was under warranty...

Hmmmm. My bike was making strange noises when I went out for a ride with the fam earlier tonight. Maybe it's time to learn a little bike maintenance...

enders_shadow - 2008-06-29 10:11 AM I DID IT! I DID IT! I DID IT! I survived my OWS. I had to backfloat for a couple minutes, but I swam the rest. No problems! WHOOOOAAAAHHHH! (RR will get posted later when I have splits. Right now I'm re-caffeinating and thinking about a nap.)

Congrats Kristen...we had no doubts...

Race was fun today.  I think I cut about 16 minutes off last year's time - based on the race clock - so I am very happy (even though Kristen and Judi passed me on the run).

Had a little scare at the beginning.  Someone had a seizure in the water and we couldn't get the people on the shore to understand to send rescue out.

Wow Jen...great improvement!  Hope all turned out well for the person with the seizure...

zipp1 - 2008-06-29 4:31 PM Sal, I have a picture of me in the bikini.....not posting it until you post yours for Kendra.  Fought the leaves for the right to swim in my pool this afternoon and just sat outside reading the paper.

Congrats Jen!   I hate ultimatums...

Good morning everyone!

Hi Sal. We must make up the early crew. I'm never around at night to say the 'goodnights' to everyone!

I have a stupid day at work today. It is the end of the quarter which means I have to do inventory. I hate it. Also, I have a new boss, which means that I have been training my boss in for the last 2 months and it is SO ANNOYING! I cannot wait until I have my social work degree and can get a REAL JOB.

Have a great day everyone!

You can hate ultimatums all you want.  You promised Kendra that picture 6 months ago and I'm just pushy enough to dig my feet in and hold the bikini picture out there until you pony up with yours!

Morning, Nibbs.

I'm about ready to end my relationship with RMS. Where are my flippin' results already? I want to write my race report while I still remember everything.

OK, I done did it.

I'm registered for the Patriot Oly (and the Richmond Half Mary)...

Now I just need to keep buttering up Sugar Daddy to sign on for the 12-hour in October.

Life is good. (But RMS still sucks.)

I'm getting a little bitter. Is that healthy? Maybe I should work and stop obsessing about my results...

I'm think it might be more the timing company in this case than RMS.  They used to use a different one in 2005/2006 and the results were always up much faster.  RTC uses Setup to time the Du and Tri and they are way better.  At least Patriot's is a Setup event.

I need to sign up for the half mary today.  I think it bumps up tomorrow.

Yeah - that's why I registered for the half yesterday...price bumps.

I love LOVE Setup.

Maybe I'll just do Setup's events from now on. I'm a little OCD. I don't like disruptions to my routine.

Cute!

Thanks, His girlfriend keeps getting more and more tattoos. She is pretty, but is really into the makeup and tattoos. I often wonder what she is going to think of all of them 30 years from now.

hmm... Im guessing they arent in easy to hide locations?

OMG no, and even if they were, she dresses rather provocatively. LOL
I have to be careful of what I say since there is always the possibility that she may become part of the family.

I think my mom says the same thing about me, at least about the tattoos.  I have 3 but I'd like a few more.  I really like all of mine - I've had one for about 6 years now.  If I really hate them in 30 years, I think there will be better ways to remove them.

we are talking Tattoos that are 10 x 16 inches in size. I could deal with smaller ones, but the latest one is right across her chest above the breasts, from shoulder to shoulder, neck to cleavage.

Good morning, Nibbs!

I started the week in another slacker fashion. I didn't get up to swim, drove to the Y after dropping the kiddos off at practice, had to leave the Y with 1000 yards still to go in my workout to pick up kids. I just can't seem to drag my butt out of bed. I envy you guys for signing up for races. Today, my hubby's insurance changes. Hopefully he will bring home the book so I can find out which ortho is in network and get this ball rolling.
