Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Gabbing Gobblers - November Challenge My favorite is currently running. I am terrified of road biking because of cars. With no autos, I am golden. Mnt biking is great but I don't get a chance often. Swimming is fantastic but I am slow and during the winter it is hard to get to the pool. The closest is about 25 miles away and filled with wrinklies. In the summer, (except for this one) it is great in the lake here. |

Expert 1246 West Grove, PA | Subject: RE: Gabbing Gobblers - November Challenge Good morning, all. Ok, another morning goes by without a morning workout. $(@^$*! When I had my first HIM staring me in the face 2 months ago, I was RELIGIOUS with the 2-a-day workouts. Amazing how easy it is to get a case of the LAZIES during the off season. Now the plan for today is to do a 40 min spin class at lunchtime. I noticed they have back-to-back classes 11:50-12:30 and 12:30-1:30... Hmmmmm. Maybe I'll stick around for part of the 2nd class to try and get a full hour in. |

I've been using the plans without a HR monitor. Usually, I just use the percentage HR as an estimate of RPE. So, if it says 70% HR, I do 70% of my max. Not a perfect system, but it works out. |

I bought the HR strap for my Garmin and got it last week, so I'm going to start using it. It will be more exact than the method I'm currently using. If you don't have a HRM, though, my improvised system isn't too bad. |
