Shoeless - 2010-05-29 7:36 PM Today's race made it necessary to come up with a new acronym, so here it is: FATS. It stands for Few Are This Stupid. The water was freezing! I mean, FREEZING! It stung everywhere your skin was exposed. It rained almost the entire race, too. On the bright side, I set a new course record for my age group! I finished in 1:28:??. Not blazing fast, but 9 minutes faster than the former record holder. I had a great bike ride, though official results aren't up yet. I'm excited to see them! I was fourth in women's overall for the day!

Wow, I've never shared a thread with a course record holder!!! Congrats on a great race!!!!

That's sweet, but it was just for my age group. Next year, though, I'd like to really bring that time down.

Maybe I'll learn how to run faster!

Not looking good for the swim goal. My Y pool is closed again for chemical imbalance issues.  Arghh!

I think the Bay is still a little cold for a sans wetsuit swim but I am giving it some serious thought anyway.

Well, I managed to plod out over six miles this morning to finish off my run goal. I am 100% or more on all my goals! YAY! I've never done such a long run just two days after a race, but I managed to keep it slow...really slow. Suffering a little runners revenge now, but that could help my weight-loss goal.

The bottom of my right foot is still hurting so I don't know what running/walking I can even consider in the near future.

It hurts some to walk, but I'm OK to bike

I've got the Tour de Cure ride this coming Sunday, and then I'm the biker for a sprint tri relay on June 27. I don't need to do any running for a race until August 22.
