It was like getting whacked with cold wet cement from every direction for two hours? That's really about all I have to say ... oh, and post lots of hot piglet pictures. I mean, that's all it needs to be, right? I'm reeeaaaaaally tired. A gecko ran down my bed and I said, Meh. I even took a picture of it. Now that's worrisome! |

And BTW, I have an appointment next week with my Ortho doc. If you HTFU and do that ride, I'll HTFU and ask her to lunch. |

I'm the, "So what if I just ran 20 miles, I'll totally come play a pick-up game of basketball" type. Anyhoo, I need you all to help me make a judgement call. Some friends are going on a 30-ish mile ride on Thursday. Normally I would go without hesitation but my race is on Sunday and I'd rather not compromise anything. On one hand, 30 miles is nothing...but shoot, I don't think I am thinking clearly so I'm not sure. How hard are they going to ride? Easy or hard? Huge hills? This is an A-race for you, no? I think it depends on some of those answers. If you don't do as well as you want are you going to wonder if it was because of the ride? ETA: Or listen to Yanti You were more or less saying the same thing Speaking of sound training. I will be hitting 15xx miles of running in 2012 this weekend! OMG! *rubbing eyes in disbelief and shock* wow, that's some serious run mileage! I probably haven't run that in my lifetime let alone in 7 months!!! You are my running idol!!! *genuflecting reverently* |

![]() | ![]() Asalzwed - 2012-07-10 12:30 PM I went paddle boarding in the sound last night. I got this strange sensation someone was following me and I turned around to see a seal pup right off the back of my board. Just at I got my camera (out of a ziplock bag) he ducked back under. Some other girls that were out there said he had been playfully chasing me for about a mile! Seriously cool, both the seal pup and the view!! |

![]() | ![]() Congrats on signing up for Rev3 Sarasota Half, Ann-Marie!! Now someone look for a vaccine for me before this signing up for halves bug spreads my way, yikes! Off to read the newly posted RRs of Jo and Reece. Yanti, please get some well-deserved, well-needed rest. Let your furry critters like Biscuit deal with the geckos. So I just looked at my logs. You have run 4X as many hours as I have this year. Even if I ran 4X as much, I would still be 600km (360mi) behind you!!!! Remember how we were talking about doing a race together...ummmmm, maybe I ride my bike and you run? |

You know I'm all about the clothing-optional! Yanti (and Salty, apparently), if you don't like running in clothes you can come to my part of PA for the Bouncing Buns 5K held at a local nudist area. They allow racers to wear as much or as little as they like. No photographs are allowed (unless you are photographing yourself) and they post results as anonymously as possible. It was about 3 weeks ago, I think, so you can plan on it for next year, LOL! Edited by melbo55 2012-07-10 2:37 PM |
